The University of Nicosia's free MOOC in Digital Currencies starts in 4 days.  I took this course and it's very good.  Andreas Antonopoulos and Antonis Polemitis lead most of the classes and are major names in the digital currency world. http://digitalcurrency.unic.ac.cy/admissions-registration/register-today

this thread tends to ramble a bit. possibly related to ppl having a good time while serving a broad comunity with a mission to do good.   Smiley

i just recently consolidated my zeits into blocks of 10m, worked very nicely, staking went fast

if you have lots of free comp time and would favor supporting the network, make smaller blocks

Hey Ray... what would you think about adding range select ability to the coin control block list?  I have 2 wallets and had not done any block cleanup in ages... I had hundreds of tiny blocks that I needed to consolidate into a few larger blocks... took forever having to click one block at a time to select...

Thanks,
Fred

We could try it by changing the selection mode in QT-ListView.
In the meantime you could use UP/DOWN + SPACE. It's a bit faster than clicking.

Cheers

Zeit Coin Staking Tips

1. Make sure your PC's Time is correct.
Ver 2.0.1.7 requires your PC time to be within 1 minute of correct time.

2. Amount of Zeit to have per block.
Blocks with 50 thousand zeit per block or more will stake within 30 days
Blocks around 5 thousand zeit per block will usually stake in 30 to 60 days
Blocks of 2 thousand zeit and below, may not stake within a year.

3. Keep your Wallet Locked when you are not Synced with the network if you have coins in your wallet.
The Green Check mark will appear a few minutes before synced , but may not be completely synced yet,
Move the mouse over the Green Check mark , and it will show
Last Received Block was Generated (Time) ago.
When it says 1 minute or less , then it is a good time to unlock the wallet and let it stake.
If it says 5 minutes and you check it again a few minutes later and says 15 minutes, then close and
restart your wallet, and it will sync quickly.

no, interest comes from some other thing  Roll Eyes   Wink

Zeit initial stake rate was 25% for the first year (over)
                           is now 20%
will be 15% starting early next year

so right now the reward is about 1.666% per month      Smiley

I have a question, what is better? ... only one block of 50,000 ZEIT or several blocks with different amounts. I just bought ZEIT and once blockchain finished the upgrade. I would like to know your recommendation.
