Try deleting peers.dat again, and adding those to your config. You are restarting the client each time, right?

I just deleted my blockchain and peers.dat (to simulate a virgin install) and even though the sync paused briefly at block 500 I'm happy to say it picked up again about 20 seconds later... so hopefully others will not have to go through the same thing. At least 500 blocks is super quick to download.

WHAT A BAD LAUNCH! Too many problems to deal with.... my pool was down (probably making updates for block 500) .... missed out mining on low difficulty.... now wallet wont sync past 500.... I am pretty tolerant but its getting to me now

Hats off to the devs.. That was one QUICK fix.  For everyone complaining,, Please by all means go mine a different coins.  I've got plenty flowing in my wallet now and the more people that leave just means more coins for me

I would take the time to grab you a screen shot but I am too busy checking these dam pools,, Anyway take it or leave it, My wallet is working and showing plenty of coins.  There seem to be some hangups here and there but transactions are coming with time.

yep, the pool is working well now.

sorry for your loss but i know you understand the situation.
anyone on other pools had the same problem.
this issue wasn't pool related; but be sure we did the maximum to fix asap.
