Why don't we do a poll on this have the community vote?
Instead of an argument I think tuxnut had the right idea let the community decide.
I think one of the mods on the official forum can create this and we can see what the community has to say
Done: Straw pollAlso posted on the 'official forum' here for arguments for/against.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I agree with Tuxnut on the multi pool idea, it can destroy other coins prices and that's not fair on other coins. I do agree it needs to go to a vote, but I also think we could have a sub-section of the Zeit forum where we can suggest/warn/question new coins and help people out if needed. I've already helped a few people out with X11 and I could only do that because Lion posted up his bat file saving me some time. Everyone has an opinion, and with an open minded community and some reasoned and logical debate, we can attempt to come up with a plan of action that works for everyone.

I'm also a holder of mintcoin and when they got it the pool made no difference, people just didn't bother mining with it really- the multipool only mines straight doge 80% of the time anyways, not like it was before with mass coins unknown to people! Prob better to just focus on other projects.

They will be solidifying themselves as the governing body to determine what coins are scams it is literally like the better business bureau but for cryptocurrency which this industry needs badly I believe. This way the coins will be held accountable for any actions and we can ensure to track and monitor who and what happens in this industry. https://twitter.com/BetterBTCBureauThey are removing IFC and giving it to us if we can come up with the donation amount. This is there site for now until they have everything fully launched. They put us up on faith we will come through... http://www.inmemoryofharris.org/
Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but it seems like we are having to pay them, basically, for protection against them possibly considering us a scam coin. Maybe I'm just skeptical.

Should always be skeptical IMO dude. Question everything and await the responses. To do otherwise would be to seek a shepherd!

I have been talking to them constantly not at all what is happening they asked us to be their official sponsor being the official sponsor means we are their main coin. It's not to buy our way in its to get us more exposure. That is whats key. The more exposure the bigger the community becomes. The bigger the community becomes the more we can spread the message of ZEIT

Uh, it's not 'fully' POS though, it's still hybrid.
I do wonder if the POW should be stopped though, whether by bringing the block reward back up high to still reach the targetted number of coins or just lower the number of coins. It's just weird having 1 block reward, few will mine and MIGHT leave us open to a POW 51% attack (I remain skeptical about this).

I wish I had 20 LTC spare to eat those two mini-walls @ Cryptsy. Price would jump back to 133litoshi and it may draw some new investment.
And it would get me 14 million more Zeit...

I was talking to winevirus about that today. We could switch to POS only I just put fully POS so people don't try and mine it and become upset if they don't know there is 1 block reward then i didn't feel it was necessary for them to know I would like some feedback to the switch to fully pos? any comments?

Well there is still 820mh/s network hashrate! Hash.so has 78mh/s alone and one person has 20mh/s alone mining a whopping 105 Zeit a day... A quick calculation on Coinwarz, let's say that 20MH/s comes from Gridseeds overclocked to 400kh/s. Thats 50 Gridseeds using 7w/Gridseed. So he's running 20mh/s @ 350w @ say $0.21/kwh. So Dumping @ 2sat he is getting 0.00000210 BTC which currently - $0.00095 And at a cost of $1.76 in electricty.... I think someone needs to move their miner...

But is it worth you keeping the pool open? If you're making transaction fee's on hardly any transactions, is it financially viable for you to continue?

Was just going to say CoinWarz is still showing it as profitable hence the hashrate... Thanks, saved me checking

And yet, in the last 5 minutes since I posted my above maths, the network hashrate is actually UP to 1gh/s... WTF?
