We are having an unusual market as the market cap continue to slide, Bitcoin dominance on the increase- currently above 52 percent, this has resulted in huge drains on the altcoins, Ethereum for example slid below 300$, This is ruining the market. Is this the new trend in the market?

if you look at the coinmarket capitalizations of crypto this is not a unusual market my friend
bitcoin will always dominate the marketcap because bitcoin is the king of crypto,,
and soon or later a lot of altcoins will be dead, only great alt with active development will be survive my friend

I disagree with this view. The dominant bitcoin is an important factor in market stability. Without Bitcoin, the entire cryptocurrency will disappear, otherwise the cryptocurrency will be zero. What really affects the development of cryptocurrencies is the abuse of ICO projects and the abuse of altcoins.

The term "Bitcoin dominance" is made possible participants in the market have enabled it. When the market gets hit, people sell their alts in exchange for Bitcoin. This further increases the dominance of BTC as people see it to be more stable than most others coins out there.

The same BTC dominance you feel is ruining the market is what alts feed on. When Bitcoin increases in price or enjoys a price surge like it did in 2017, altcoins benefit alongside. This is why most alts attained their ATHs 2017, it wasn't necessarily because of their fantastic, but because the market is very liquid and BTC was the driving force. Heck, even shitcoins were mooning too

We can't look at it as the destruction of the market, because the fact of domination in the market is very strong bitcoin against altcoin, we can not say anything, the reality as it is. If we want to see a good market we must make good on the market being bitcoin, then altcoin will be at the top of the market.

I used to discard as false the narrative about bad actors being behind the scene and manipulating the Bitcoin market but my position has since shifted. The performance of Bitcoin as the dominant coin has been terrible from the beginning of the year to now.

The fact is that if you take into account the past years, then the results of the price of ethereum in 2017 played a big role advertising cryptocurrency, and in particular Bitcoin. Perhaps the new realized What is the value of cryptocurrency, and which projects will have much better prospects and strong positions in the cryptocurrency market in relation to Bitcoin.

This is the wrong view.
The abuse of ICO and altcoin is the chief culprit in the sharp depreciation of cryptocurrencies. The government hates cryptocurrencies because the current cryptocurrency market is not futuristic. It is full of scammers, so the government will suppress the cryptocurrency market.

Bitcoin acts like the dollar in the crypto market, so if it collapses the whole markets will be affected. If someone wants to take advantage on the market they must destroy bitcoin first and the rest of the coins are collateral damage.

Lol, if there is no Bitcoin preserved cryptocurrency market has collapsed, Bitcoin is the only weather vane that can keep cryptocurrency prices stable. Bitcoin prices are linked to the entire cryptocurrency market, so you shouldn’t hate bitcoin, which is the most Good coin.

BTC is an integral component of the market. Altcoins - the differential component. And in general, and in a mathematical sense. Now, one without the other will not. Without altcoins, there will be no market and cryptocurrency industry. Without bitcoin, the market will be different, as there will be new leader.

I have seeing that happening and bitcoin is established forever dominant in the market.  If bitcoin is falling it do pull other coins along and vice-versa which is not good for the market.  Cryptocurrencies recovering is henging on bitcoin and if bitcoin recovered all of them are going to recover and if it falls all of them are going to fall.  No one can stand alone. However this is really affecting the market as we have other that are technologically better than bitcoin but there could not come up because of this dominance.

Why is it that some people are bent on blaming Bitcoin for every price dump, for me by now some projects should have started releasing a sound platform to the space, but what do we see, almost a deserted platform with absolutely no user, is it BTC that causes this. Another question I will ask you is if you prefer holding any other ALtcoins to Bitcoin

the main reason why they blame bitcoin is because they invested alot on it and their expectations were so high .  they only think about the profit , they only think about the pump but they dont consider the risk that surrounds on it  .  other reason that  i can think of is that they invested alot of thier capital in altcoins or any other cryptos and if they loose , they will put thier blame on bitcoin because bitcoin itself is the base of all cryptos  .

however , the dominance of bitcoin is not bad but it is good actually since it can boost the value of all cryptocurrencies  .  this is just strange to accuse this one .

why should always be a bitcoin that is always blamed? I think bitcoin does dominate prices on the market, but I don't agree if bitcoin is always used as a source when something happens on the market

because bitcoin does affect market movements as the parent of all coins it does not mean blaming bitcoin, bitcoin has always been the benchmark for altcoins so the ups and downs will have an effect too.

We are having an unusual market as the market cap continue to slide, Bitcoin dominance on the increase- currently above 52 percent, this has resulted in huge drains on the altcoins, Ethereum for example slid below 300$, This is ruining the market. Is this the new trend in the market?

Maybe because bitcoin is an altcoin ranking leader, so every step of bitcoin is always wrong, and if bitcoin is more valuable and reliable than most altcoins and actually it's not a trend but a market tradition with ups and downs.

What is the meaning of "Ruining the market" Huh

Bitcoin is the king of this market. Of course, the dominance will be high. This is not an unexpected thing. Bitcoin always has to be superior to everything.

I disagree.
I also think that many coins are better than Bitcoin at this stage, but there's nothing more predictable than BTC keeping its throne.
As long as you keep a good portion of your portfolio in BTC you wouldn't use strong words like "ruining the market". If you can't beat them - join them.
