Dev, please, let us know either it is single KECCAK512 hashing (MAX) or double (COPPERLARK)?

What do you expect when people implement cgminer into their viruses? Ofcourse cgminer's legit API's also will be detected.

The GPU miner is a direct link to a maxcoin pool that hosts the maxcoin gpu miner. Nothing wrong with it.

This miner is the official keccak miner that is used also for maxcoin. No viruses, simply a false detection Smiley
So to say, you're pikachu must also missfire..

Does this mean this coin will be GPU friendly too ? Ah... another coin going to ruin due to GPU farm ?
is it possible to tweak the setting so the coin will be fair for both GPU and CPU miner.

If not this coin is nothing different from scrypt other than scrypt ASIC will not work.

This coin is super gpu friendly! but naturally somebody with alot of hash power in a 'farm' can do it just the same as you, just with more gpus. It is only natural.
A diglet and a dugtrio do the same thing, but a dugtrio is 3 times the pokemon, meaning he wil deliver 3 times the earthquake destruction!

Additionally, it is quite different! You will see the difference on your GPU when you run it, keeping it running cooler and quieter and with less power than the obscenely overly abundant scrypt based coins that i know we are tired of.

Dev, please, let us know either it is single KECCAK512 hashing (MAX) or double (COPPERLARK)?

This is the MAX implementation

Specs look great and the dev seems to be doing everything right so far. Looks like a well-planned launch.

I wish the theme of the coin was more "serious" though and maybe used the mathematical helix instead, rather than Pokemon internet meme helix.  Tongue

Ok Im going to try  this as my first launch coin (always late to the party) - Do you think its worth solo mining or are pools ready for me to sign up to?

Also I downloaded the Maxcoin fork of CGminer, is this going to do the job?

I was going to hit GPU coin , but 30% less electricity is a good thing... right?

Any tips for me as this is my first launch coin? Is it a case of, ready, steady, mine! green lights, hot chicks on the track, revving engines?

You chose a great coin for your first launch!
The cgminer link in the ann links to that particular miner, so yes it will work just fine for you
Once you mine sha3, you wont want to go back to scrypt

If you are fast and familiar with the proper mining config as well as .conf  you may be able to solo successfully for a few minutes, else you may just save yourself some frustration and jump on a pool and wait for the pools to go live

Best of luck!

Ok well a few mins wont  hurt, I guessed as much with the solo mining!
Ok so you guys release the windows wallets roughly an hour in advance of flicking the switch?

Cheers!

ALL wallets will be released ahead of time in password protected zips to help ensure proper wallet distribution to the community

We have also created a manager for the command line windows wallet to help guys interested in solomining. It can detect if a config file exists, and promptly creates on if it does not to help get people mining as quickly  as possible!
It also manages tasks like sending and checking connections/ballances just like a qt does to guarantee there is a working wallet open for all users to be able to make use of easily

Well this is going to be fun!
See you avoided the fork question Wink

Im ready to mine, just need the finer details.

Think a four pack of launch beer is in order.

Ah i missed that one entirely somehow, sorry.
The wallet launch happening fairly for everyone should provide a base blockchain by solominers, and then the pools will pick it up from there
In the event of a fork, it is hard to tell.. at least until all the coins you thought you had got orphaned as the true chain is decided

Best of luck. Save some beer for us!

no cpu miner?

Let me post the links, sorry for that
