How much do you buy it? if that is a lot of money and you also don't need money better to hold it back, at least hold it until the end of 2018. you are in the wrong condition I'm sure you bought the coin maybe between january and february, my advice still holds and don't panic. that advice if you don't need money for important things, but if you really need the money the only way is to sell and I will not give the option to sell then try to recover your original funds because of market conditions that do not allow it.

OP is a new in the crypto. He was never seeing the price and total marketcapitalization of the cryptocurrency before 2017. I meant he needs to see a few years ago when the price of bitcoin was around $99
I thought that he will get a lot of surprise about that. A lot of new adopters have bought the crypto when it was reached peak price.

You yourself said that that crypto market is all time low. What the point of selling now? If you invested only money that you can allow to lose and you believe in market recovery, then just wait. Sooner or later the price will go up and return to your starting point and probably will go even higher.
In case you are desperate and need money right now, then cut loss. It is up to you.

This is very true, i've watched all my crpto assets reduce in value latley, yet i'm so tempted to sell off, but that won't be a nice idea after all... i'll just hold and wait for the market to bounce back

Selling in loss is the worst idea because :

1) It is very much sure that the prices will recover after some time. This means that if you just leave the money remain invested, you will surely get a profit.

2) Most of the people who held their coins for long time are in profit. Thus it makes no sense to sell in loss when majority is making profit with crypto.

You must be ready for such periods in the crypto market. This happens constantly and should not panic. I think you only have to be patient and not sell what you have at a loss.

Do not give in to panic because this price drop will end anyway. I think that the market is being manipulated in order to drive out the last "man-panic".
