Without studying it in school some people have started to pick interest in becoming cryptocurrencies professor and blockchain technology expert. I think few years from now we would have such as a course in university and many of us may go back to school to study it.
Sooner, with more promotions over bitcoin and the association it would make with our lives, definitely there would be need to teach them to children. The coming generation must know it in their early ages as it would be so important and classy for them. Their life would totally be dealt in bitcoins and other altcoins as well. So yeah, teaching them is a good idea and much appreciated.

I don't know I still have mix feelings of having crypto in schools or universities. The only drawback I'm seeing is that if may give them a false impressions that it can be a get rich scheme. We all know those kids is full of imagination, and perhaps few of them might be tempted to spend all their times and not pursue higher education because of what they learn and what they see as loopholes then can exploit and as much as I have to them, make them dependent and lazy because of the early learnings. they got on crypto.

And besides, crypto is still in its infancy, in fact governments around the world are still in argument whether to accept or reject crypto in their country. We really need to be careful and not draw our conclusions hurriedly here.

Without having the knowledge of crypto world one can not survive and if we do as it as then the consequences are just bad and nothing more. Basic knowledge of economics and statistical graphs etc are also helpful without this knowledge it is difficult to get meaning of any event or issue comes in way. Education is the key to success so for crypto profit we need to get education taste its success.

May there should be but it can be done in the future. It is because, it needs a thorough study on how to include cryptocurrency in the curriculum.

That would be one of the purpose of educating them about cryptocurrency - of being not a get rich scheme. One of the reasons why people are being easily lured to investment schemes is because of the naivety when it comes to this kinds of investments because they are not aware that it is a scam and they would easily believe what others says sine they did not learn it in school. I did not learn about investments in school in depth so I think teaching students about it would be a great help for them to detect those schemes in the future.

And besides, crypto is still in its infancy, in fact governments around the world are still in argument whether to accept or reject crypto in their country. We really need to be careful and not draw our conclusions hurriedly here.

Maybe it would not be cryptocurrency that should be taught but blockchain technology. Ivy Schools are already teaching it so other schools should consider it as well because it would be the future technology seeing what the big companies are doing researching about it and others have already adopted it.

Given that Economics is firmly identified with bitcoin and the condition of the world's economy, there might be a probability that financial significant courses would insert troublesome financial matters with digital forms of money as the primary purpose of dialog. In this present reality where governments and tremendous organizations are looking at towards the digitization of cash, it's an easy decision that schools ought to likewise educate the future ages of what the world is gradually changing to, or possibly intending to. It will happen, and some select schools are as of now offering such projects in their courses. Give it time and most academe would without a doubt adjust to the earth.

I think that there will not be such directions and they are not needed, because what you propose to study methods, but you need knowledge. For this, it is necessary to develop general financial literacy and financial education.

Not in schools, absolutely not. Children's aim must be to learn basic of school subjects, thinking about money is early for them. But we have to include lectures about bitcoin, ico and related things in businesd and economics universities, this is must to have. Personally I can't imagine modern economist without any imagination of bitcoin. Personally I had serious talk about this in my university but seems it's not officially entering here but we all agree it's must to have. It's still good hope too.

I don't think this is good thinking. They school ages are so arbitrary. We are stretching out people's childhood longer and longer. Over time the years of schooling people do have only increased. I think that money is exactly one of the things that children need to learn. It is one of the most useful things they can learn in their life. I think it's ridiculous for kids to learn algebra and trigonometry before they know how to budget. Schools need to be focusing more on teaching things that will be directly applicable.

Prestigious universities have started offering online courses on Blockchain technology and cryptography. For example Stanford university has the course "Cryptocurrencies and blockchain" available for computer science graduates interested in developing secure crypto software for the emerging crypto industry. Other universities like NYU and Georgetown University School of Business have courses exploring the business side of cryptocurrencies and educate their students on market research data, financial analytics etc.

I know that some universities are making some lectures and special courses on "cryptocurrencies" and "blockchain", im not sure what they really mean by that but i've definitely seen such courses.

I think what OP is talking about is at the more basic levels of education, like high school, as in being part of human history. However, in history class back in high school, at least in my experience, I don't remember they ever touching the subject of money at all: Why money exists, how money is created, what is the history of money through time... we only saw it briefly, but not going deeper into the subject. So given that, I don't see how they would introduce the concept of decentralized stateless money.

I would only support this as a voluntary subject, not as a compulsory subject. It is too early to implement the field of blockchain and cryptocurrencies as basic elements in education. But master degree in blockchain would be interesting on universities. I don't know any yet, but also interesting is the plan for an online study via blockchain.

While that would be nice we have more pressing concerns, we first need to teach people about how the economy of the world works, they need to understand that if they only make minimum payments on their credit cards they are never going to pay off their debts, we need to teach them that when they buy something with credit most of the time they will pay the product two and up to four times and that should only be done in an emergency, things like that should be the priority and only after you do that you could concentrate in cryptocurrencies.

I don't think so, it is not to be studied formally on the school like other subjects. Even though it has been spread around the world, but government doesn't nee to involve this to the school system. The users just need to study how it works and as basic works of bitcoin. There are many more important to study than it.
