I want to tell you about a service I made, it would help if I get some feedback/ideeas on it ...

It is mean to work like PayPal, mostly for site owners but not only ...
Without having to register, you can specify an email, a phone number or a bitcoin address that is the "receiver", then site creates a buy button/link where you can send users to make bitcoin payments.

When a payment is received, the system can send notifications to an url the owner specifies, so you can automatically deliver any products or services.
When you create a payment button, you can specify a different initial currency than BTC, e.g "10 USD" so we automatically ask for the right BTC amount when someone wants to pay.

When you accumulated an amount, you can go to "claim" page, enter the email or phone number, we send a verification link, you click that link to withdraw the funds to your main BTC address.

When creating a payment button/link the only required field is receiver (phone, email or btc address), additional optional fields are: amount, currency, receiver_name, item_name, success_url, cancel_url, notification_url, notification_email, custom_data

The service can also be used to send BTC to someone that is not yet a bitcoin user, you can simply specify their email or phone number, they will be notified and they can claim the BTC at any time.

The URL is www.ByeBanks.com

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

It is allowed per 24 hours. You can read the forum rules for more info.

Btw, not sure if I understand your project correctly, but isn't it simpler and safer for the buyer to provide their own BTC address? It seems like you're acting as the third parties between buyers and sellers. With your current anonymous status, I think it is difficult for users to trust you.

Thanks for the feedback.
I guess this is an issue, users having to trust the service with their money, but it is made to allow withdraws at very low amounts, around $5 (and no fees).
I will seriously consider allowing users to send payments directly to their BTC address, but it will mean ByeBanks service will have to constantly monitor many external addresses (could be ineffective), I guess it can be limited by the total payment notifications sent to one site, or charge users when monitoring more than X addresses, but it already starts to change the shape of the service.
Probably best way is to just act like a bank/paypal (handle user's money) but charge no fees.

Not for now, it is free at this point, and 1% would be enough, but not a priority now  Smiley

Thanks  Grin

there will be more coins around than people,

and there will be an index mafia, trying to "educate" everyone which "coins" are valuable" and "which not.

not very great world....
