The user that offered you $8 has a scam accusation from about a year ago that was not sufficiently handled or explained. If I were you, $8 doesn't sound like a terrible offer, but I would be extremely cautious if you decide to move forward in dealing with this user. It might be hard to find an escrow for such a small deal, but it is certainly paramount that you keep yourself safe in any transaction, but especially when dealing with malicious precedent.
Good luck, as I understand what you are selling your coins for and I believe this to be the more feasible path when compared to asking for a loan with these coins as collateral. A lot of people end up using alt-coin collateral loans as a way to hedge the market at the expense of the lender; this is another reason people were so hesitant with the loan. Just wanted to pop my two cents in.
By the way, when you post a "bump" post, you can simply delete the old "bump" post; this avoids cluttering your thread in an unattractive manner.
