[INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread

I don't keep up with this thread so maybe these have been brought up, but have any of you seen these? (they remind me of the 90's Pinnacle Mint Collection coins that I still collect..well the fine silver ones anyhow).

2017, 18, and 19 Baseball Treasures -sold in several different types of boxes.  Most coins are copper. Also there's a 1 (or 2) oz silver coin in 1 in every 432 packs and a 1 oz gold coin in 1 in every 21,600 packs.  Some of the boxes guarantee at least a silver. Sorry for huge images, I too lazy to resize

2018 Ginter x packs. 25 bucks each

By now with only 200 cases @ 12 boxes per case I'm pretty sure we are down to no more than a handful of cases left.  The odds continue to go up for the red or silver mini as time goes on.  Of course there is always the chance that they were trashed as throwaways when the set first came out but, I kind of doubt it since all the silver mini's from the six stand alone inserts are accounted for.  There are three cards I still am searching for, the red and silver mini and the wood card.  The silver mini and the wood card mini in my opinion are both six figure cards

I wonder if someone pulled a 1/1 and is keeping quiet because it is being graded or they own a case or two and realize letting everyone know 1/1s have been found is not in their interest

That is always a possibility, I would think whoever is selling the most of these ginter x boxes would probably be the one that would be holding the 1/1 or maybe even a few red mini's.  The only reason the boxes are 4x higher than the 2019 in my opinion is the insert cards but, mostly the #83 card.  There has only been one red mini of the solar eclipse ever found so there can only be one set of all six inserts.    Once they are found the prices will fall off a cliff.

Has anyone noticed the pool of X Hobby box's dwindlin' down in ebay? Or is it just me? 

Supply is just about gone at this point.  I think since they are about gone the silver mini and the red mini's will either show up now or they were tossed in the beginning as throw aways.  There is the possibility they could end up at one of the bigger auctions where sportscards reach the 6 figures.  Will just have to wait and see

Prices are already half of what they were selling for..... they were $1000 or more not so long ago.

Like any bidding war, it  only takes 2 or 3 to make price go ballistic.  The success of this card depends on Cryptocurrency adoption too.

Buy your Crypto cards like you do the digital assets, in a "dip". Impending recession is hurting all sales everywhere, most people are only buying the essentials now, which can be a very positive thing for crypto card collectors.    Yay!!!

Just a bit of fun I had while opening some A&G boxes last year. Since the A&G product has lots of non-baseball cards in the mix, I thought it might be cool to pull a mini doodle card...so I pulled a mini doodle card. Then I sent the card to PSA.
