It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

These coins were purchased from the court appointed receiver in Florida.

Can you provide proof that these were indeed purchased from the seized assets (if there were any?). It seems like an incredibly good offer at 1.5BTC for the lot unless they are encrypted in which case the chances of recovery are extremely slim.

Here is the court order:

The forensic team has previously determined that none of these wallets are encrypted. None of the other wallets were encrypted. And I can guarantee the buyer that none of these wallets are encrypted.
