Guys, the version of the new wallet (with KGW) is the same as the old one. Are you sure it's safe to transfer my coins?

Sir, the fork has not happened yet.  You will be safe to transfer your coins with either wallet right now.  Why do you say that it is the same BTW?

Because, when I check the version it says that it is 0.8.6.2-unk-beta on both.

Do you guys have calculators?

Just wondering if this coin is profitable at the moment...

In ExeCoins case the formula is just: your KH/s divide by difficulty = Coins per day

Example: 1000kh/s / 7.9 = 126.6 Exe

EXECoin - {720/(7.9*2^32/(1*10^6)/3600)*50}*(1.3*10^-4) = 0.4965

GPUCoin - {720/(7.2*2^32/(1*10^6)/3600)*2000}*(3*10^-6) = 0.5029

This shows that both EXE and GPU coin make 0.5BTC/MH/Month? Are there other profitable alt-algorithm coins?

So I'm relatively new to crypto in general, started mining in January.  But in that short time, going from pool to pool I'd have to also say dedicated is the best community out there. Stable (as stable as pools can get) and fair.  Binaryclock is one of most responsive people I've seen so far in this "business" and professional as well.  The IRC is always packed with people willing to share information, help and assist someone who is new.

Just lending my 2cent.

Long time lurker, heavy supporter of EXE coin, been mining it for a while now with all my hash. I along with couple other folks convinced binaryclock to set up a pool at dedicatedpool for it some nights ago last week, and ever since then difficulty has slowly gone up and it has brought more attention to this coin. I think I speak for everyone here that we want this coin to succeed, so we as a community should work together to help it get a wider exposure.

However I believe taking Dedicatedpool off the ANN was a bad call. Yes it has a significant amount of network hash, but that is where all the big farmers like myself and others go with failovers when the smaller pools go down due to not having ddos protection. This is not to bash any other pool, but I personally like to use Dedicatedpool for binaryclock's around the clock support and dedication on running a smooth pool with no issues. Let us all work together in making EXE coin a success.

Thanks!

Thanks Joe!

I really hope we can continue to support exe.  I think it was a slap in the face to a pool that has supported the coin for so long. I even go so far to tell people not to dump the coin in my channel.  I myself have not sold one coin either, and trust me, if I did, it would not be good for the coin.  But I am not like that.  I look forward to helping coins grow... I want crypto to do well!  Why do you think I never made a middlecoin.

I usually lurk without posting, but this requires posting.

I consider mining a hobby, but it's a hobby I take fairly seriously. I started with a tiny GPU farm on Slush's BTC Pool back when that was profitable. I jumped onto binary's Dedicatedpool back when LOT dropped, and his pool has provided me with the best mining experience I've had playing around with altcoins. No BS. He had a rough start, as most new pools were (and still are) being attacked constantly, but since then, he's run a great and stable pool that always seems to be on top of new coins.

Speaking of that, I was a firm Vertcoin supporter (and still am) before I discovered EXEcoin. How did I discover this coin? I logged into Dedicatedpool to check on a worker, and look what was listed in the NScrypt pool section? NExt stop the ANN, next stop mining for binary, because I like this coin.

This guy is a big reason this coin has any attention at all, so show some respect. He hasn't committed one shady act as a pool admin, and deserves nothing but praise from the community.

That said, I switched to p2pool when the hash hit %50, but that's my responsibility as a miner, not his as a pool admin. He can't ensure that there are other pools as attractive as his out there, and his miners are loyal to his pool for good reason. Lots of coins perform very well with way over %50 on one pool anyways, see Primecoin for example.

Anyways, I'm not giving EXE's devs too much poop here, because I like what you're doing too. However, you guys need to give binary a break, and maybe even step up and thank the guy for the early support.

Is there a reason why it should be much more? Steady rise is allways good for altcoin, not bump and dumps.

And your missing one zero. Price is at 0.00015.

Warning!

exe.dedicatedpool.com hashrate keeps growing and now again reached 50% of the network rate. We already sent a message to the pool operator and he claimed that the registration was closed. But now we see it's been opened again. Those who mine at exe.dedicatedpool.com please migrate to another pool to provide even hashrate distribution and to avoid possible problems with the network.

It is in YOUR interests to do that! Please switch the pool ASAP!

I re-opened it because you took us off the ANN and we are now at 37%.

The coin doesn't magically fork at 50% you know.  You are the developer and should know this. This is mostly wives tales that coins fork at 50% and I would of thought a developer would of known this.

We are really well connected with over 30 connections.

Did you know smalltimeminer ran with 80% netcoin for over 2 months?  What bad happened?  Nothing.  The leader of Rabbitcoin has 90% hash and it's been that way since launch.  Nothing bad happened.

I have no problem closing the pool if it gets over 50%, because I believe hash should be spread.  But to remove us from the ANN and issue warnings on FUD is not cool, especially when we have actively marketed your coin and provided an excellent pool to build up confidence of the miners when nobody else wanted to touch EXE coin.

Seriously now.

We do not believe in magical forks at 50% of the network hashrate.

However, we do believe in some weaknesses outlined here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Weaknesses#Attacker_has_a_lot_of_computing_power
We don't think that you would like to do such kind of attacks, but if an attacker compromises your server, he will be able to do it theoretically (and practically, here is a very interesting story http://www.coindesk.com/feathercoin-hit-by-massive-attack).
In addition, sudden drop in the net hashrate in case of problems with your server wouldn't be good without KGW, which haven't come into force yet.
We are responsible for a reliable network operation and for the future of the coin, and if "Did you know smalltimeminer ran with 80% netcoin for over 2 months?  What bad happened?  Nothing.  The leader of Rabbitcoin has 90% hash and it's been that way since launch.  Nothing bad happened." they did, it does not necessarily mean that it should be like this with Execoin. And it won't be like this.

Thank you for providing a high quality pool and for building up confidence of the miners, we have re-added your pool everywhere. We appreciate your efforts and your time. But please keep it less than 40% of the network hashrate (to make sure that it would never exceed 50%). Posting ads in the thread after it has been removed from the lists for exceeding 50% of the network hashrate is not welcomed too. But you are welcome to post any reasonable number of ads if your pool still has less than 40%. Thanks for your understanding and support!

Seriously too.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

So with the fork to kgw will this be more difficult to mine?  My apologies for the ignorance, but I'm just a small time scrypt miner.

Based on current hashrate, yes.  But what KGW does is reduce the retarget time, so you don't get in a situation where the difficulty jumps and everyone bails, leaving the coin more difficult to mine.

Implementing KGW doesn't necessarily increase difficulty in itself, it just makes it so the difficulty matches the network hashrate in real time. Right now the difficulty is 7.9ish with an estimated increase to 9.8ish in nearly 800 blocks. With KGW, instead of waiting all those blocks to increase the difficulty, it readjusts EVERY block.. so the next block would be 9.8ish difficulty.
This way, if a giant multipool jumps in with 500mh the difficulty will spike up immediately to match it. If they leave, the difficulty will drop back down.

*Note- The "estimated difficulty" is usually an overestimation. (Before last increase it was 5.xx with estimated increase to 10.xx, but when the difficulty changed we actually landed at 7.9ish)

DEDICATEDPOOL RULES!

We were kicking this coin in the but way before the whole community jumped on the bandwagon with the pump.

Binary is THE man also. Be good to him. He is doing a hell of a job.

If your looking for a pool to trust you might want to check out Dedicated.

Also...... NEED MORE COFFEE!!!!

+1 !

Still waiting with a locked account for my e-mail to get back in for all my coins, yeah they're just greeat no response yet.
