They are just like dash actually a fork of it so you can follow their treasury and what they have done with the funds put toward the project to get an idea of how this project will go. Since they have been around for years and this one still starting within the past two.
You can join their other media channels to find out and the multiple of youtube videos available explaining why they think it is a solid project to get into.
Their discord is just a good time with the memes flowing like this one when the price starts pumping along when bitcoin does.

I just have seen this project and this in the top   Why price grew so much? Have they arhiveved some "world adoption" as this mentioned in the title?

I think it is from their large treasury so they can afford the marketing and the amount of staff in order to achieve this sort of level in mass promotions.
Such as the earndrop the last and final round only available to those who were signed up on a waiting list for the global release of the coins for preregistration only from what I had seen on their discord channel.
Also having recent partnerships with exchanges in a short amount of time it seems they work at a lightning rate to try and get their project adopted across as many countries as they can.

It does hurt their cause with having a very helpful community growing on all major media platforms as well.

If not, the only offsetting thing to me is the amount of inflation that could constantly push the price down. What's to stop this from happening? Is there a maximum number of coins? It just seems like it will hyper inflate and lose all it's value over time.

IF eardrop release,, ya keyword is the big IF which don't seem as if there is going to be any more eardrops being that the site has been down for weeks and no one seems to be working on it at all. So I would not recommend anyone actually hold there breaths waiting for the promised eardrops.

1M NRG will always be released per month, but this will be a decreasing amount of inflation as that 1M is a smaller percentage of the total supply over time. PoS rewards will decrease over time as more NRG is collectively staked. The worst of the inflation was the first year and NRG held up just fine, in fact, it still outperformed almost every other cryptocurrency.

There is no maximum number of coins in Energi because the Treasury and Masternode allocation are essential to Energi’s survival, and are essentially the engine behind Energi. Thus we do not see a reason to give Energi a “death sentence” by removing its engine. Just being a fork doesnt make it a dishonest project, there needs to be greater reasoning then that to come to a solid conclusion against them.    I just started reading as I recognise NRG as an esports team but I realise this is not related directly, however I'm interested in POS generally and its development vs POW.

Thank you Jimsteel! We will indeed be transitioning to an Ethereum-based smart contract platform, but you will not be able to use MyEtherWallet to store your NRG. Rather, we will be building out our own unique infrastructure. We recently put out a medium article that talks about how the upcoming coin migration will work. Why did you decide in the first place to be a fork of Dash? Wouldn't it have been easier to start with ETH in the first place?
