XEM panic sell or exit scam ?

Nothing is wrong with XEM the sell pressure is not from the team but holders, it is an opportunity to buy cheap XEM.

I think OP is a newbie trader, currently bitcoin price rising, people sold altcoin to buy bitcoin, so most of the altcoins price don't have big movement, no idea why calling nem is a scam when the price dump, don't worried to much and maybe you can add more NEM to portfolio with cheaper price.

The point makes sense though. And as far as I know about XEM, the situation of falling its value is by no means an indication of exit scam. They have been in this market for so long and I doubt the devs will do this kind of scam. There's more to lose if they are dumping their coins to this price level. So nope, I don't buy the idea that the team is dumping their coins. It is more of the traders or holders trying to buy another altcoin or btc.

Why are there many ill feelings about XEM/NEM ? At first I saw someone post that XEM laid off staff on twitter due to funding issues. I strongly believe XEM is OK, nothing seriously wrong with it, although there has not been major developments with the project. If XEM is dead, then new projects like sportsfix won't move to XEM blockchain,  hope you understand my argument. Price action has less to do with how well a project is doing these days.

I cannot say which coin is legit or a scam as there have been many instances established coins are going bankrupt and turning into a scam. But in the case of NEM, it must not have been a scam. I think it is suffering a panic-sell off. But it is weird that XEM is suffering a panic-sell off when the market is in the green and all coins are increasing. Lets hope, XEM will correct itself and make a big com-back.

XEM suffering a panic sell-off is probably caused by dumb whale XEM holders. If a very large XEM holder decided to liquidate all his XEM holdings regardless of the poor trading volume and liquidity of the XEM market, it will definitely look bad and others will follow as well. What the whale should have done is slowly sell his coins.

XEM is a good coin for its traders and community. Altcoins are feeling the heat of bitcoin dominance because a lot of traders want to be part of the gain from bitcoin bullish movement, it's normal to dump altcoins when bitcoin is very aggressive as it has ben performing.

I dont think it’s panic sell today it’s price increased more than 40% still it is having upwa D trend . xem / Nem team atleast keep this momentum and should focus more about platform and marketing.

According to XEM it hasn't been scammed because the project still has a number of exchanges that have a large enough volume and the price for now has increased quite dramatically but last year there was a lot of bad news about XEM so in my opinion it was very risky to invest there

For someone, it is a new opportunity but for others, it is a shame to see lying prices on the exchange. Cheap prices are engaging for the investors that want to go buy the coin. 

I will be on that side to take the opportunity to get a low XEM price because I don't think that it will happen in the future
I am sure that people will buy more XEM at the low price and meanwhile, they have the other amount of XEM that is waiting for the high price.
XEM is getting down just following bitcoin price and so do with the other coins but if bitcoin price starts to increase, then the altcoin will following too.

I don't see anything strange.
All I see is a major drop in price after a major pump.
If you compare it's graph, it matches the rise and falls majority of top 100 coins nicely.

Some advice, I would avoid calling "scam!" so quickly.
Just using the word itself makes you panic, angry, or emotional.
These are all not good for smart trading.

Instead, figure out the reasons behind things using data and analysis.
You will find answers to your questions and reliable information to make a smart trading decision.

Also, on top of all of this, you could just wait it out and see what happens.

XEM is not a scam it's just normal falling price just like other cryptos, maybe they convert it into bitcoin because the price was increasing that's why XEM fall.

But they are looks like a scam because of the price was dragging too much, including their shitcoins DIMCOIN that base on XEM blockchain which very cheap in the market. Maybe the team now has decided to sell that coin and convert to Ethereum or Bitcoin because they saw that the price now was dumping too much.

XEM somehow recovers as BTC price goes down.  Altcoins somehow drop in BTC value whenever Bitcoin goes up but their USD value remains.  This is natural occurrence since BTC had a steep uptrend during the post of OP.

My advice is that you need to sell this coin. Because at such a high level of capitalization, I do not see a buyer, liquidity is small.

A newbie should know that once you entered cryptocurrency, all of the price of the coin may dumped like that. It is called volatility. Since btc's price is spike high, investors or holders of XEM coin seems to sell their XEM to buy some bitcoin. That's how it gonna affect the price of XEM. If you believe on this coin, just keep holding until you reached your target price for profits.
