I don't even understand the purpose of DDOSing a pool.  Why not just solo mine until it comes back up?  What effect is the DDOS supposed to have anyway?

If it was intended to damage NVC it certainly hasn't done that.  In fact, I'd say it has helped the coin establish some legitimacy when it otherwise might not have, if it has done anything.

there is always that factor of "hmm, if someone is trying THAT hard to stop it then it really must be something decent"

^^THIS  I've been reading everything written about this coin. I would have never cared to mine it, but the hoopla being brought on is just advertising an alt coin that could have died out.

When the pool starts to work? I left there a lot of money, about 500 NVC! Where is my money?

You seemed to be a very confused individual. The site is under DDOS attack. None of us have access to the site, including the owner of the site, thus, you can't get your NVC until the DDOS attack is over. You've been informed of this before, yet you keep whining like a baby for your NVC.

Try this.... Keep trying to access the site, when you can, you'll know the DDOS attack is over.

Try this: Not make a NovaScam mining pool?

I don't support DDoS attacks, but sometimes you deserve it for accepting bribes.

I don't support DDoS attacks
True story.

TradeFortress, you need to know, that ddos attacks usage for protecting your own investments can result a jail... From 3 to 9 years in Russia and USA. In comparison, for the murder criminal can receive from 2 to 11 years of jail. You should think about it and compare this numbers, before posting of ddos-supporting messages... If you care about your reputation, of course.

And also you need to know, that no one cares about your opinion there, because it's coinotron users support thread. Your benefit from happening is obvious for all, you shouldn't lie to yourself. Only an idiot would believe in your impartiality, so you should try better, using a new account.

Which means none of you miners can sell your coins either.

These attacks are only keeping the coin value higher as miners are not able to get NVC to dump. Looks like any GPU miners coming over from BTC right now will easily make the choice to mine NVC to dump for LTC.

Right now it looks like Balthazar has played his cards just right. NVC may well end up being the silver to BTC gold.

Maybe Balthazar played well but at the end of the day Coinotron users suffer!

I would like you know that DDoS attack is small issue compared to fights I'm currently fighting with hosting service. They simply want to terminate my server.

I understand that your coins are blocked. Probably this is intention of attackers.

I'm trying to get access to the database. When I have it I can make semi manual payments. But web hosting is not helping.

Don't worry. Do as much as you can do, this is enough. Users will not blame you, only need to blame the DDoS.

But hope you can consider some backup plan when running the server. How about separate the backend server including the database from the front server which deals with the web pages and do RPC proxy.

Can't you ask your provider to change your IP? So at least you would have the access to the site.

Any news?  Still getting hammered?

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

I have said this many times before: I hold a small and insignificant amount of Terracoins, zero litecoins, zero ppcoins, bla bla bla.

Yes. From time to time I'm asking admins to disable network protection. And attack is still there.

Why the botnet attacker so persistent? It doesn't make sense, NVC is already well mining else-where. Maybe he just want to make the miner's coins stuck in the pool?
