It's not hard to find  a lot of negative opinions about any altcoin, but I think it's better to concentrate on how much of positive info from third parties we can find about this or that coin while choosing in which coin to invest. There's no doubt that Ripple is somewhat outstanding in this regard. It has many positive reviews on various sites, it has big support of many serious institutions and it has 889K followers on twitter (compared to 189K of EOS and 107K of Bitcoin Cash). I know that the latter info can be criticized, but I think it reflects the popularity of a coin to some degree.

You can check the prices and compare the "% to ath" prices and whichever decent coin has highest you can purchase those and make a portfolio of it. Ripple seems like a decent coin and well enough dropped but do not purchase just one coin, diversify. Also do not buy a coin just because it dropped in price, make sure you are buying a decent coin, do not go for the shady shitcoins.

If you do this, you will profit during a big bull run that is inevitably must be on its way.

I agree that buying several decent coins which have dropped the most since their ATH is a good idea. Despite all the negative comments Ripple ripple gets, especially written by those who see it as Anti-Bitcoin (not to be confused with a sh*tcoin of the same name), Ripple is one of the best altcoins and should definitely be on your list. Only I suggest when thinking on diversifying your investments to consider investing at least 50% in BTC because in the future it may turn out to be your best investment.
