The backend crawls every node in the network and collects the current stats every 60 mins. When you load the webpage, your browser client does the actual pinging so you get the most exact ping possible next to using the command line.

Let me know if there are other coins that want this feature. Its currently dogecoin only.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Why is time wasted?

The site looks good, are those stats in real time? It takes quite a toll on my browser. Maybe caching would help.

not many people use the tool -- the site visits are less than 10 per day. The tool isn't linked anywhere. i've sent messages to reddit dogecoing mods, the dogecoin.com resource site, made this post, and two reddit posts.

The tool is almost entirely cached with the exception of ping values. Those values are determined by the user's browser and reflect an actual ping between the user's computer and a node (reason for cpu hit). if i cached that value, it would only be accurate for my local area, and not for someone in new york, california, or china.

i'm adding a map and that's it. dropping the project.

Thanks for your input, it really means a lot when someone other than yourself replies to your post.

send me your dogecoin address for a tip.

It takes months of work to build up links and "decent" search engine position
