I'll take a wild guess at:

  • No one gets any BTC back
  • After more than one year, a small number of people get a fraction of their fiat back
  • MtGox does not return as an exchange, neither is it relaunched under a new name
  • Karpeles does no jail time and is still alive on March 1st 2015

but really we know so little of the facts that anything could happen.

Yep.. nobody will get his money back.

But if you ask me, it might not be that hard for those people who were storing hundreds and thousands of BTC there, to lose them...
I mean it's reckless to do so..

Karpeles has said a lot of things. I think the plan would've been announced by its new management by now if it was going to happen. Every day this drags on with no plan it's just more users that will never return, so the notional value of MtGox as a company keeps decreasing.

The only winners are the bankruptcy attorneys.

Planning to launch Zimbabwecoin in the future. Focused on building a community around it now.
