Let them sell, I'm buying those . Oh and I plan to rise the price after releasing another update to the wallet next week, we need a bit more security improvements before the huge hash rate guys step in and that will happen as soon as price goes over 10 BTC/66.

Whoo, nice, glad noone here thought of doing stupid stuff like that - all in all mintpal is proving to be a great exchange, they said from the beginning not to use bots and I'm glad they are punishing those who use them

No, but the next one will, code is ready already and after someone makes a windows build of this wallet will be pushed to github...
Problem was we had no accounting of the money supply, I wrote code to do that but requires redownloading the blockchain, and if many nodes do that at the same time it may leave the network in a vulnerable state, so instead I just released an intermediary wallet with checkpoints to improve reliability, next wallet will have newer checkpoints and the block rewards will no longer be predictable (the bonuses will be given with a 1 block delay depending on the hash of the entire previous block).

It will, we just don't want to propagate it up that fast, we want to give people time to notice so the network hashrate increases incrementally instead of exploding all of the sudden, I suspect a lot more people will become interested if it hits top 5 on mintpal voting.

I just imagine someone, who wants to get a coin out of Mintpal. He could give a votes to the coin using a bot, then report himself and Mintpal takes the coin away

I'm fairly sure you'd have to use a significant number of bots to get on their "radar", anyways I don't think anyone would have any problem with us, I mean at the moment it would be easier to just mine 66 and profit later than try to keep it of exchanges. At least that's why I'm mining it

Annoncement: New wallet will be released on Wednesday, March 26. Update will include limit to number of coins and move to a more random method of generating superblocks (less predictable, it moves from calculating superblocks depending on previous block hash to current block hash, reward generations are delayed by 1 block due to this, inspired from GrainCoin). This had to be delayed from previous wallet due to the need to add checkpoints to improve network security first! New poll on tuesday between fewer choices for new coin look! Hoping there will be a winner, it will be included in the next wallet update, else it will be delayed to the one after that.

I know, I already invested half of what I can afford to invest in this coin, the rest I plan to use to buy coins.
I asked and some people helped with BTC donations.
In our first meeting I asked a few people how much they are willing to invest into growing 66, everyone donated 50% of what they were willing to invest already except bdannnn (he said he will also contribute, but I think he's afraid the coin will never make it)... unfortunately people which say one thing and don't follow through are only slowing down our community and progress... well at least he's making publicity for the coin on facebook and twitter... if he didn't say he is contributing I would have asked other people to donate a higher percent... the plan was to get in top 5 and we would have!
Please feel free to donate some, and do join our meeting this evening.
We'll see what more we can do in this meeting... I expect we hit top 5 tomorrow, the topic will be reopened in today's meeting!

 how dare he !!!  . this is a great coin!!! just gotto have the right people behind it. people that actually care about the coin!!  and i think we dont have to worry there. wish i could donate some btc but im noob with not much hashpower and only got few $*^%coins..  not even worth $%^&. but now im starting to get some 66 tho  (first 3 days on wrong wallet) but now right one ..me happy  . hope to be able to contribute in future.
