Exploit discovered in KGW difficulty retargeting calculations... Fixed the issues in git, windows and mac wallets coming in 1-2 hours, menzo is compiling them! The new wallet will be a mandatory emergency upgrade also by block 80066 (as was the previous), I'm sorry about this inconvenience but I just found out about this bug from the swisscex post! As you can see in the post linked above many coins suffer from this issue! If you already upgraded to 0.6.6.66 you don't have to remove any files anymore!

ignore the tweet from cryptorush, I didn't request that they take down the market, I requested they update their wallet, but since no developers were available, the support took down market instead!

ehm.. just to make sure, http://www.mediafire.com/download/0uxnlaslv98u21w/66Coin_030414.zip <--- this is the latest and correct wallet for windows compiled by Menzo right? about 66 gives "66 version v0.6.66.0-gbff08fa-beta" and getinfo in console says "version" : 66600, "protocolversion" : 60001, "walletversion" : 60000 just confused a bit , i think   |

I'll look into it! No you're not! If there are any issues I will make a windows build capable of opening your old wallet, there was nothing changed in wallet code by me (I'll double-check it but my wallet worked perfectly fine on linux)! Alternatively you can just send everything from you old wallet to a new address (the address generated into your new wallet)! Backup old wallet, run new version, copy new address, run old version, send everything to new address and than switch to the new version... test with a very small amount first to see it works (I did not yet have time to test the windows version, will make some time for it tomorrow, it's really late here now) |
