Crimea is now an autonomous parliamentary republic within Ukraine
Crimean referendum is about to create a state within Ukraine.

Go on streamate or myfreecams, and ask girls from Ucraine, what they are thinking about new neo nazi power in Kiev.

I hope this is not a new Gaza - palestine. Why there's everyone wants to make a new country. Aren't we having enough countries to fight with each other?

Well, I guess not everybody over there is terribly excited about being part of YET ANOTHER BASKET CASE created by western nutcases and their fellow fruitcakes that they put in power. Can´t say I blame them.

Hmm, maybe I should move to the Crimea and help them dig trenches in preparation for the invasion by Porky the Pig and his terrifying piglet army.
Property is cheap enough, by the way. At least for a while, because integration of economy is in the progress.

It´ll be tempting in a couple years when I retire. And by then I´ll be most likely able to drive straight north into Russia proper instead of via that lengthy Kerch workaround. Good luck, g

Ukrainian domain name is still working:

http://www.rada.crimea.ua/en/

That's strange. Roll Eyes

Well, crimea is an ukrainian land annexed by russia. Sooner or alter putin will be kicked out of there. and crimea will be returned to ukraine. So domains are working and will be working =)

Yes, and pigs will fly in formation over Sevastopol that day.

Sure they will =) Kiev has a lot of pigs. They all are ready to fly =) What kind of pigs would you prefer to see in Sevastopol's sky?

And do you have a doubt that crimea is an annexed land?

No offense, but Crimea is not Texas  Wink there was a referendum - with predictable result, vast majority of locals was disappointed with Kyev for the last two decades. Treated as second class citizens by nationalist revanchists and oligarchs, who took over the young republic. Crimea was never part of the Ukraine, in fact it was only attached to it in 1950´, because of communist (!) leader Chruschev. Donbass in turn was given to ukrainian SSR by I.V.Lenin  Wink right there you have all your justice and self-determination and democracy, in long dead supreme soviet council...

You simply cannot repeat the same old cold war propaganda about evil commies (then Ukrainians were commies too), yet insist on legality of their legal system and nonsensical, nondemocratic territorial changes. Your brain is going to explode, if you take it too seriously.

We will see what you will tell when Texas will be annexed by Russia =) Referendums are easily faked.

This all is not cancelling the fact that crimea was annexed by russia. And russia is an agressor country right now. Accept that fact.

In case of Crimea, no new country was created. Crimeans were tired of being treated as second class citizens by the Kiev junta. So they seceded from Ukraine and joined Russia in a legitimate way.

Agressor country according to who? John McCain? What law was breached? I am fully aware, that new overlords of Kiev did breach both ukrainian and crimean (yes, Crimea had its own) constitution, when they tried to abolish russian language in march 2014.

I would be very careful making accusations about faked referendums, my friend  Smiley isnt afterall democracy something that west reveres? According to american Bloomberg (its owners co-own FED), it wasnt faked. http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2015-02-06/one-year-later-crimeans-prefer-russia

No one wants any more fighting. But you have to realize that this conflict was provoked by the illegitimate Kiev junta, which tried to ban the home language of 90% of the people in Crimea / Donbass. The junta forces committed massive bombardment and shelling against civilian targets in Donbass, just because they speak Russian. It is Poroshenko and his oligarchs who are war hungry, not the poor people of Donbass.

Well, I certainly don´t want Ukrainian nazis and western neocons to lay the beautiful cities of the Crimea to waste. Unfortunately that sordid pile of dog poop will be left unhanged both in Ukraine and the U.S. for a quite a while. So, there´ll be a very dangerous overhang.

PayPal - in their zeal to appease the tyranny of USA and imposing sanctions against all Crimean residents for their nerve to exercise their democratic right for self-determination of the peoples, as prescribed by UN charter - has gone too far, making itself a laughing stock.

They imposed sanctions on people living on Savastopol avenue in Moscow:
http://russian.rt.com/article/85544
http://politikus.ru/events/47978-amerikancy-vveli-sankcii-protiv-zhiteley-odnoy-iz-ulic-moskvy.html

PayPal also blocked payment operations from people living on streets carrying such names as Balaklavskaja, Simferopolskaja, Krymskaja. There are hundreds of streets carrying Crimea-related names all across Russia...

I wonder if this absurdity also touched people living on Boulevard de Sébastopol in Paris  Grin

Not only that but Obama was THIS close to sending a drone to whack the mayor of Sebastopol, California U.S.A.

Fortunately he spilled diet coke on the joystick and the delay was enough for someone nearby to intervene.

That Bloomberh article was one schizophrenic read. They try to justify and explain away why the reality does not match the imaginary wishful world, that the mob has created in their minds. Also worth noting the following fragment:

Quote
Ukrainian political scientist Taras Berezovets, a Crimea native, recently started an initiative he called Free Crimea, aided by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives and aimed at building Ukrainian soft power on the peninsula. He started by commissioning a poll of Crimean residents from the Ukrainian branch of Germany's biggest market research organization, GfK. The poll results were something of a cold shower to Berezovets.

As they say, no comment.

But is all falls well into place in light of the second part of Paul Craig Robert's recent article:
http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2015/04/15/will-washington-kill-us-paul-craig-roberts/

Quote
...
The situation is deteriorating, not improving. The Russians, hoping for some sign of intelligence in Europe, contradict Washington’s anti-Russian lies. Washington calls truthful contradiction of its own propaganda to be Russian propaganda. Washington has ordered the Broadcasting Board of Governors, a US government agency, headed by Andrew Lack, a former chairman of NBC news, to counteract an alleged, but non-existent, “Kremlin Troll Army” that is outshouting the Western prostitutes and “perpetuating a pro-Russian dialogue” on the Internet. In case you don’t remember, Lack is the idiot who declared RT to be a “terrorist organization.” In other words, in Lack’s opinion, one that he can enforce, a truth-teller is a terrorist.

Lack epitomizes well Washington’s view of truthful reporting: If it doesn’t serve Washington’s propaganda, it is not true. It is terrorism.

Lack hopes to control RT with intimidation: In effect, he has told RT to shut up and say what we want or we will close you down as a terrorist organization. We might even arrest your American employees as aiders and abettors of terrorism.

To counteract a Revanchist Russia and its Internet Troll Army, the Obama regime is handing $15,400,000 to the insane Lack to use to discredit every truthful statement that emerges from the English language versions of Russian media. This amount, of course, will rise dramatically. Soon it will be in the billions of dollars, while Americans are evicted from their homes and sent to prison for their debts.

In his budget request, Lack, who seems to lack every aspect of humanity, including intelligence, integrity, and morality, justified his request, which will be granted, for the hard-earned money of Americans, whose standard of living is falling, with the wild assertion that Russia “threatens Russia’s neighbors and, by extension, the United States and its Western allies.”

Lack promises to do even more: “The US international media is now set forth to refute Russian propaganda and influence the minds of Russians and Russian-speakers in the former Soviet Union, Europe and around the world.” Lack is going to propagandize against Russia inside Russia.
...

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”

I don't know why Russia isn't banning Paypal. Paypal represents the greedy American bankers, who act as just another arm of American imperialism.

The G7 seem to be ignoring what the people of Crimea may want. If they want to become a part of the Russian Federation (which seems likely), it's their decision, not that of the G7?

Well, I´m not sure about how seriously you can take that club. Two of its members are still occupied territory from world war two and as such have rather limited independent foreign policy, at least if it contradicts the interests of the corporate owners of the occupiers. As for the rest, only selectively concerned about international law, self-determination and regimes killing their own people.

US and its vassals are running out of excuses. Just compare Crimea with Kosovo. In Kosovo, the majority of the ethnic Serbs were driven out, and some were killed. When the ethnic cleansing was completed, the Albanians of Kosovo declared their independence. In Crimea, almost all of the Tatars stayed, and they faced no problems. Still NATO thinks that the secession of Kosovo from Serbia is perfectly OK, and that of Crimea from Ukraine is illegal.

Yes, it´s boundless hypocrisy and double standards always from those quarters. Which is why that club has become irrelevant. Nowadays you ignore it and pay attention to G-20. Good luck, g

P.S. Kosovo: Western mob junk creates a criminal garbage heap. Ukraine: Well on the same way, extremely predictably.

"Russia protected Crimean Greeks from the Fascist Ukraine" - Greek Minister of Defense

April 17, 2015
Da_Dzi
Translated by Kristina Rus

The Minister of Defense of Greece spoke against the Ukrainian government and called it fascist.

"The Greek population in Crimea was harassed by the fascist government of Ukraine, and protection for Greek families became the presence of Russian forces," - said the Minister in an interview with the Russian press during his visit to Moscow.

^^^ Not surprising. In Crimea, the Tatars (who are around 12% of the population) were harassing everyone else, including the ethnic Ukrainians. The Kiev government (especially Tymoshenko and Yushchenko) was using the Tatars as a force to drive the ethnic Russians and other groups out of Crimea. During the past two and a half decades, more than a hundred people were killed (mostly ethnic Russians, but also Ukrainians, Greeks and Germans) and tens of thousands of farms seized by the Tatars in Crimea, with active support from Kiev.

One Year After Russia Annexed Crimea, Locals Prefer Moscow To Kiev

The U.S and European Union may want to save Crimeans from themselves. But the Crimeans are happy right where they are.

One year after the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula in the Black Sea, poll after poll shows that the locals there — be they Ukrainians, ethnic Russians or Tatars are mostly all in agreement: life with Russia is better than life with Ukraine.

Little has changed over the last 12 months.  Despite huge efforts on the part of Kiev, Brussels, Washington and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the bulk of humanity living on the Black Sea peninsula believe the referendum to secede from Ukraine was legit.  At some point, the West will have to recognize Crimea’s right to self rule. Unless we are all to believe that the locals polled by Gallup and GfK were done so with FSB bogey men standing by with guns in their hands. .... more
