I dont own any ASIC but Ive accidentally left some BTC in my guild account.  Any chance I could close my account and get the balances cleared.
Unfortunately BTC has progressed beyond some of the older miners ability to earn and I got the auto payout mixed up and it left some behind

Why can't you log in and do a manual payout like everyone else?

A mysterious shipment of ASICMINER blades arrived at my door today.  My assumption is this is ASICMINER's way of pushing me into selling them Smiley.  Will post an update later today once I find out what the terms of this shipment are supposed to be.

Theres a minimum set, Im just asking as a one off closing transaction to clear BTC and NMC balances.   I dont think it'd go very far towards one of those blades though I like the idea of continuing to mine in theory

You are a fair seller. I hope you do sell some blades. bouncing between group buy or e-bay. You always ship fast when in stock.

Well shoot...I was getting excited about finally writing a guide for running a BE Blade on BTC Guild...then I found out I have to cut up 12v wires from a power supply and buy fans if I ever plan to use one.  Was really hoping the new models were at least remotely plug & play.

Can't a custom molex connector be made with some 18 awg wire and some male pins and feed off a drive connector? (12 & 5 v are on those)

Yes, that was part of why I wanted to make a guide.  BFGMiner now has a way to run an internal getwork server so you can run your blades on bfgminer with other hardware.  It would probably be easier to setup than a stratum proxy for some users, but I was going to do both methods.

I ordered a new PSU and a molex splitter after looking at some of the guides out there for getting these up and running.  They should get here Monday or Tuesday.  Once I get a response from ASICMINER, I will likely start selling the blades I currently have, with some warning that I offer absolutely no technical support and that they require power supplies, fans, and cutting up wires in order to actually use.

I still find it weird that AM released a blade that is slower than before uses the same old getwork via the primitive miner in it and ... doesn't have the new USB connector.

Seems like a step backwards ...

Yeah, I was never a big fan of the blades just because they're so...user-unfriendly.  I can understand requiring a bit of work to get something like a BitFury 400 GH/s kit running.  But not a 10-13 GH/s unit.

No offence eleuthria but to me it seems like a garage sale of their leftover stuff and you're an unwitting participant to get rid of it for them.

Waiting on a response from ASICMINER before I update the store for them.  I have no idea if it was an error in shipment, or an attempt at a consignment sale without notifying me beforehand.

Update for the pool:

The migration to a faster database server hit a small snag and has not yet started.  Hopefully it will happen Monday evening.

Definitely looking forward to a guide for using blades with BFGminer. Can't believe they didn't add stratum on these. Also, I know many people like the network interface and could care less for USB on these, but I was looking forward to just throwing a couple on my pi. Guess that's not gonna happen. Anyway, looks like it's quite easy to hook these guys up with power using a "Y" molex splitter or Molex-PCIe connector. Wonder if they have them consuming a little less power this time around? Maybe thats why they clocked them down, to set the voltage to be most efficient? Or maybe for long term reliability? The prices are certainly MUCH lower now though...

Eleuthria, thanks for the close up pic. Did you get any backplanes? If so can you snap a pic or two?

I did get some backplanes, but I don't want to open that until I know what the terms are going to be for these units.  The one I opened is one of the spares they provide in advance for replacement units.

Update on Blades:  It looks like these were meant to go to another reseller, and it was an error in shipping.  Currently waiting on one more response from friedcat before I do anything with them.
