Beware of implying something that is indeed incorrect ...

The unlock is of course either an interface in a system that you wrote that can of course be bypassed ... or a button that you click on when you believe a pool member has provided your required amount of proof.

It is indeed NOT true to say "can only be removed by signing a message"
It would be true to say that you "eleuthria" will bypass the rule when someone signs such a message.

oh give me a break. stop being so literal. He could have made it a one way encryption that he can't reverse. perhaps it requires him manually editing the database. Who knows how he implimented the code. If he says it can't be over ridden, most likely he means that he can't override it easily or has he no incentive to do so since it would expose his sight to social hacking.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Nope - not possible - there is no payment p2p blockchain to enforce it - it's his own centralised payment system Smiley

My main reason for my comment was, I looked at the comment and thought, hmm, how could you implement it.
Then realised of course, he hasn't, it's a verbal agreement to lock your account, not an irreversible one.

Fine:  It can only be removed by somebody who has direct access to the database server because the permissions to remove that lock can only be executed when logged in from 127.0.0.1 (no remote DB connection  can delete the lock record), on a server which can only be accessed via a specific VPN or local console access because it has no public IP to connect into.

Just wait til I start offering combo packs of 9 Erupters, 1 Fan, and an Anker Hub (jk) Smiley

No wonder on Amazon, almost on all Anker USB hubs (and many other brands), if you scroll down to the section "frequently bought together" you will see the hub, the fan and BE.

I think a combo discount will be nice.

Meh.   All silver - not a blue one in the batch.  Looking at the bright side of things - the good news is that not even a single one of them was black....

Last units from the Blue &Silver batch are getting shipped.  DHL dropped off one package yesterday of the next 1000 units, but half of the delivery is missing currently (hopefully shows up today).  Have not yet opened it to see what colors will be shipping next.

I'm speaking with a few people producing them.  Right now the biggest issue is pricing.  I'm not willing to front $60,000+ in inventory on products that are only marginally better $/GH than ASICMINER, especially when the cost per unit is 6 times higher (much smaller number of users willing to buy products at that price).

Update on ASICMINER Products:

The extra shipping+handling charge on coupon orders has now been removed, and the base price for non-coupon units is now 0.19 BTC.  A batch of coupons have also been distributed, 100 coupons for anybody who has ordered from BTC Guild before.

How much for a BLUE one ?

I still have one spot free on my 10th Anker hub.

It's getting pretty bad when the Anker people recognize me by name - "Dear xxxxxxx, we see you just bought ANOTHER Anker hub.  As always, thank you for the purchase, and please let us know if you have any problems with it...."

I have a few blues left that are being held for special requests (or until new inventory runs out).  I can never guarantee a color, but if you place an order and put a message in the address (Address Line 2 normally works best), I will try to provide that color.

I've lost track and am confused, did he say he has silver and blue erupters on hand or coming in? I don't want to order before he has them and end up with black or red ones. Huh

All inventory is blue/silver right now.  No red/black could possibly sneak in.

*running off to the store*

5 ordered, that should at least get me some blue ones. Grin

*Comes back and there all silver*  Cheesy Oops. Angry Shocked

I jinxed my self.. I ordered 12 of them and they are all silver.  Cry Well better than  black but still I was hoping for a blue.

I tried ordering 3 anker hubs last night and amazon said they were all sold out..

Sorry Sad  I tried to make sure any order over 10 was mixed Blue & Silver, but depending on where I was at in the giant pile, sometimes the colors repeat between one box and the next.

They just have these now - 9 ports plus a charging port - I use that port for the fan:

You could get the AITech 10 Port hubs.  Same exact hub as the original Anker 10 ports just marked with a different name: AITech 10 port USB3 Hub
