Website got a quick burst.  The current website reverse proxy is a bit more vulnerable to attacks now that we're not on Cloudflare.  Should be working again (wasn't down very long).  Backends are still mining just fine.

Still getting it?  Moved the site to Cloudflare as a temporary measure.  The regular website reverse proxy was having problems.

Yep, still getting it.

Which browser?  Try doing a forced page refresh (Ctrl+F5).  The SSL cert from Cloudflare is valid if you're hitting Cloudflare, the SSL cert from BTC Guild is valid if you're hitting BTC Guild.

None of the charts on the pool website seem to be working for me.  Huh

i'm running Windows Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP.

Should be fixed now.  There was a random issue with certain JS failing to load due to some optimizations I added to reduce overall page load time.  Recently added a more complete fix to the issue, so on a refresh you should have all the charts working again.

I decided that this was a problem with the browser on my netbook(ASUS eeePC) because it works fine on my other XP PC. So rather than fight with Explorer, I installed Firefox. Well.... It seems that for some reason everythime Firefox switches pages it it logged out. so the only page i can see is the Dash Board with Firefox.  Tongue I can't win for losin'.

Woohoo! quoting myself! heh, anyway, since Firefox worked worse here i went back to Microsoft's browser and suddenly it is working right? I guess it decided to tow the line when it realized that it could be replaced.  Roll Eyes

As we enter what looks like another Bitcoin rally, please remember that pools are not banks, and in the event of large simultaneous withdrawals, your coins may not be immediately available due to a depletion of the hot wallet storage.  BTC Guild, along with any major bitcoin service which keeps balances for users to withdraw on demand, uses a hot/cold storage system to minimize the amount of funds at risk in the event of server compromise/server failure.

Make sure you set your auto payouts or run manual payouts regularly.  It not only makes sure you have complete control over the majority of your coins, it makes sure that others will still be able to receive their payouts on demand without any delay to move funds from cold wallets to hot wallets.

eleuthria is bull on price. BUY BUY BUY!

Note:  Any attempt to listen to my statements and predict the market from them may result in disappointment, headaches, and possibly bankruptcy if taken to the extremes.  If you have a heart condition, consult with your doctor.

But this is a somewhat serious issue.  If we do have a decent rally and/or bubble, the last thing anyone wants is to have their coins stuck for up to a few hours because a bunch of people carrying 10+ BTC balances all withdrew at the same time and emptied the hot wallet as a result.

Eleuthria,

Is it possible to not use vardiff on my KNC Jupiter?  Currently, whenever the diff changes, my jupiter produces tons of errors.  I've now submitted 1.1 Million error'd shares due to this issue. (over the last 5 days).

It appears that under my worker config, I only have the ability to set a min diff value but can't lock it in place.  If it is possible to set a static value, could you please set the dhenson_1 worker to 357? (500GH / 1.4)

Thank you.

256 should lock it into place.  BTC Guild only supports difficulties in power of 2.  500 GH/s *shouldn't* cross the shares per minute threshold at 256.  The alternative is just going up to 512.  Either one is going to end up making you the same in the long run (SLIGHTLY more hourly variance, virtually unchanged 24 hour variance).

Small note for the upcoming difficulty change:  The luck graphs will stop updating when the difficulty changes.  I haven't automated the luck graphs for the period where difficulty changes (since the shifts will include blocks/shares from both difficulties).  So for a few hours (if it happens before I wake up), the graphs will not update.  It's not perfect, but it's better than the old method where if I went to sleep without turning it off the luck would show something like 180% for every shift until I fixed it.

Website should be back up under Cloudflare again within a few minutes.  Currently got a new wave of attacks hitting.  Public stratum address is moving back to the proxy/filtering servers.  As with the last attack, once you start mining you should be safe/reliably connected.

Question for eleuthria or any other member.

I've switched back and have been mining for about 48 hours on BTCG and notice something odd in my shares submitted.

When I started, I was submitting around 112k shares but my shares gradually go down no matter what. My shares are consistently around 100k to 102k - that's down 12k shares on every shift.

I have noticed this before too, so if I stop mining on BTCG for a day or two and come back, my shares are good and then gradually progress downwards. My hash rate is fine, actually BTCG shows my hash with more accuracy than any other pool.

Any ideas?
