This weekend Manual Payouts will be extended to amounts smaller than 0.01. However, any withdrawal under 0.01 will have to pay the 0.0005 transaction fee. This will only be available for *manual* withdrawals. Automatic payouts will remain at 0.01 intervals.
I'm not a fan of trying to increase the frequency of micropayments, but at today's rates 0.01 is ~$4, and I can see a user for being able to withdraw $1-3 (at the cost of a few pennies).
Are this new manuel payout setting (manual @ 0.0005) will be set up forever or just for this week end ? |

Started it before I had my first job. Then I tried to work on it in my spare time. Then I started a used video game store. Then I started BTC Guild. I tend to constantly move to more profitable side projects, and the old ones kinda get left by the side as a "I hope to get back to them someday" project. On the bright side, those side projects always end up being something I love doing, so they never feel *too* much like work [even if they do tend to consume every waking hour]. |

My parents have actually asked me a lot when I'm going to stop working on this and finally make my game. So much has changed in 8 years though, especially for web-based games. People expect a lot more than they used to. As somebody who is NOT an artist, it's intimidating since by far the biggest draw (even in browser based) is now graphics and animation over gameplay and community. |

I've consider running a pool but then got worry about having to find whatever annoying skid and break his fingers. meh. What is eleuthria's avatar A long time ago (a long time ago in internet-years, so 8 years roughly) I was trying to make a webgame MMORPG styled similar to the Pokemon franchise and commissioned the work of about 70 different creatures initially. Seems like there have been some much higher than normal transaction totals associated with blocks in the last 24 hours or so. Lots and lots of money being traded, at least relative to what I normally see.
I'm talking about all of the blocks, not just ours.
Is this cyclical, maybe something I simply hadn't noticed before?

There are several pools in between BTCguild and Slush pool as far as hashrates go. why does everyone dump on Slush pool since it is just one of the little guys? |
