LOL
Just perfect.

All right, WHO ATE ALL the Lucky Charms and put the empty box back in the pantry! Cry

The Lucky Charms box is never empty...it just doesn't have any marshmallows left.

I think someone went to the grocery store and grabbed a new box of Lucky Charms.  Hopefully they grabbed a few more and didn't forget the milk.

Okay, I think I killed the metaphor...

I had bailed on BTC guild during the whole block withholding thing (the luck was too bad to watch every day), but I came back amid the whole ghash/51%/doucheyness thing - and boy does it feel good to be back.

The variance might be a bit higher but it sorts itself out, and plus gives me something to root for haha.

Also, payouts are like minutes after reaching the threshhold.

Ghash doesn't tell you the pool luck and pays out on some random ass schedule and avoiding those two features is far and away well worth the 2%. Hell - not mining there is well worth the 2%.

TL;DR you run a hell of a pool my good man. Cheers.

Agree with above.  I've been mining since 2011 and no other pool has been as stable as BTCGuild - nobody.  Not ARS (now dead), Red (now dead), slush, Ozcoin, Bitminter, Eclipse, Eligius or that arrogant pool call Ghash.IO.

I can't speak for others but I also have fewer rejects than GHash.IO mining from the west coast of US. I also find the interface a lot better here.

Keep up the good work Eleuthria - I may have what is a measly 300GH/s currently but at one point I was 1% of the network Tongue

What's happening with the PPLNS stats page?  The 1+PH/s user has disappeared, but so have their stats.  They still found the most blocks, even if they're no longer contributing to the pool.

The 1 PH/s user is either having major issues, or has left the pool (haven't been able to identify their speed on a pool that gives public user stats).

The PPLNS detail view shows the exact shares submitted by each user for any individual shift.  The rankings page only shows users active in the previous shift.  The 1 PH/s+ user has had one unit coming on and off, just a few hundred GH/s, so they keep re-appearing on the Rankings page (shares+blocks found), but on the shift details they would be very low.

Thanks for the explanation!  I had seen them reappear and then disappear again and couldn't figure out what was going on.

And I should have said Rankings page not PPLNS Stats page, but you figured out what I meant!  Grin

No issues server side.  # of users connected on the pool stats page confirms if there is an issue, it's 100% local to the users affected.

Screw that! They can sit in a corner and mine by themselves!

The last 3-4 days have been better than anything I seen in a long while.   Too bad difficulty just flipped higher right before the run.

I guess the best thing about the luck was that for those of us who had ASICs earlier we caught the early 2014 luck streak when difficulty was a lot lower.

True.  I am glad I am at BTCG.  Variance may be a nasty passenger no matter where you mine but at least here we have a operator who is always working and improving the pool.  Other do as well but none like Eleuthria.

maybe they actually now have no issues at all and feel comfortable that they can pull in revenue on their own solo mining instead of off our backs in the pools.
