A few optimizations were done to improve load time on the Earnings History page.  After so many difficulty switches, the queries that were originally in place were starting to take longer than they should have.

Using this update [thread has been quiet lately] to remind EU users that you can access a pool server in Germany using de.btcguild.com .  This may even be preferable to any users that occasionally have connection issues between themselves and the Chicago based servers.

An update has been made to the Payout History page to make it easier to use for long time miners.  The page will now only list your 10 most recent payouts for BTC and 10 for NMC.  A full history log can be accessed clicking the link under each section.  This will load a page of comma separated values, which also includes the Transaction ID for the payment.

This can be especially useful for anybody that has had issues with a coin exchange not recognizing all of their deposits, since a Transaction ID can provide them with proof of the time, amount, wallet, and confirmations of any given deposit.

You've just solved a big mystery for me [lots of people left the idle timer on even though they shut off their rigs each night].  I've fixed the page, and you can now properly set it to 0 [off].

I'll be pushing another change in this weekend which will re-enable the idle timer for all users (not just those over 1 GH/s), but it will turn into a sort of toggle.  Once you receive an idle email, you will have to turn them back on.

OpenDNS seems to be blocking www.btcguild.com for some reason?  Has anyone asked they why?

Thank you for posting, will email them to figure out why the hell they're trying to block my domain name without any contact/notification.  I can say quite definitively that there is nothing on the site that should have caused them to block this.

UPDATE:  Sent an email and called their phone lines to try to get the issue moved forward faster.

I'm now less sure what is going on.  The screenshot above from from my work computer (we use OpenDNS for our company to also block things like gaming and streaming sites).  But I also use OpenDNS at home, and it is not blocked there nor does it appear in their "check a domain" tool.

So maybe this is something else that is specific to my company that is just designed to look like an OpenDNS blocking method?  Or maybe OpenDNS offers different blocking rules to enterprises than to home users.

Anyway, this may or may not be a false alarm.  Sorry if it was.

I checked when you first posted and it wasn't blocked on OpenDNS here, although I don't use an enterprisey version. There are a number of settings that might affect it within the interface though.

After additional investigation, it appears that they are not currently blocking btcguild.com.  I am still getting this at work because my internal DNS is, for some reason, still returning 174.129.221.183 as the IP address for the domain.  I don't know if that is because its caching is broken or because someone intentionally added a rule to block this domain.

I believe that OpenDNS was blocking http://bitcoin.sipa.be/ earlier this week (it has since been cleared up).  Maybe they blocked a bunch of bitcoin related domains and then unblocked them when they realized the mistake (and my company's DNS server is just broken and still caching the IP from when it was blocked).

Anyway, sorry for the false alarm.

Update: Well, they are still blocking the domain for DNS lookups originating from my company but not for other people.  Not sure why...

Reset All button has been added.  Depending on how many workers you have, there is a [slight] chance you will have to click it twice, because the shares counters may have been updated between resetting your first worker and your last worker.  It's pretty fast, but some people have a LOT of workers.

For the time being, payouts are either:
1) "Give me everything right now" - Manual payout (you probably either want to cash in on a big spike, or leave the pool)
2) "Give me a set amount" - Automatic payouts, which are processed every hour.

The reason for this is because the pool pays transaction fees when it should to ensure they get processed by other pools, rather than 0 fees and force users to wait until BTC Guild generates a block to include them.

If you're looking for a -specific- amount, Automatic Payouts would be the preferred method, since they will end up in a 'sendmany' transaction, saving the pool fees and also avoiding bloating the blockchain with large numbers of single transactions.  Automatic payouts have SIGNIFICANTLY reduced BTC Guild's footprint in terms of transaction count & size in the blockchain.

A "withdrawal X" payout type will likely be added soon, but it will be a delayed payout (included in the next autopayout batch).

What I was looking for was the best way to keep a specified amount in btcg, checking out the surplus - now try to guess why I'd want that....
