hi all
im new in traiding bitcoin
so i want to know more about fees
in bitmex i open fees page
i found
maker fee -0.0250%

Taker Fee  0.0750%
Long Funding  0.0100%

Short Funding  -0.0100%
Funding Interval every 8 hours

 i can not understand
what is maker fee ?
what is taker fee ?

why maker fee with - ? and taker fee with + Huh?

what is short and long funding?Huh??

In layman's term, when your order isn't filled immediately and becomes a part of the order book, then you are a maker, but if your order is executed immediately based on the current price on the order book, then you are a taker.

Short and long funding - if you feel the market is going to be increasing in value and you buy a position then you are going into a LONG position whereas SHORT position is the other way round.
