freaking mintpal ran away with my EMC2...

 Undecided very sad

Glad, the The Mintpal guy is locked up...

https://news.bitcoin.com/ryan-kennedy-rapist/

Why no one accused him stole our coins? When is out, he will be a billionaire again, did the police confiscate his all assets in crypto to compensate victims?

YES! this is something i dont understand either. I know that Karmacoin now known as KARMA had arranged a class action lawsuit and got the karmacoins back! Why noone did this for all other alts is beyond me :/
at the current rate, that one single deposit alone is worth nearly 90k usd. I also had ±9800 DRK coins on balance when it tanked. Now DRK is called Dash. Check the price now... :O multiple millions he took from me alone, not to mention the overall user database he had exploited...

EMC2 never claimed they working with apple or Nasa. It's just a rumor everyone believed. Only thing EMC2 said in twitter is they have a mind blowing announcement on 19th this month. Wait for it to see what it is until then don't believe whatever anyone said.

Beauty" of the name is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I find it excellent. Especially with EMC2 ticker. Simply brilliant. Name/ticker/symbol should be catchy and easy to remember
In the original formula it's E=mc^2, not c2. These are mathematically two different things and it hurts my brain to use "EMC2". Just make sure you at least say "squared" instead of "two"..  Sad

Yes but this is what every coin says.
I used to invest in coins that were simply ideas, not complete products, and it was a bad decision. These days I don't put my money in dreams any more. But many people do, and it's because of Bitcoin. We all want to be that guy who bought Bitcoin 5 years ago, and we're now trying to do it with altcoins.

Can anybody confirm this?
Yes, I can confirm someone made that in Photoshop to keep the price up. I couldn't find that pic anywhere else on the internet.

This is not a religion, it's an investment. Investments should be questioned at all times, it's for your own good. Damn, people are so gullible I'm almost tempted to make my own coin and just say it's a great new invention but it's still in development..  Grin

EMC2 is coins ticker. FYI, ticker is combination of letters and numbers, used to shorten coin's name. Have you seen ever any coin with other symbols other than letters and numbers? I can't believe I'm even explaining this to someone...

Not just in crypto world, but in economics in general, you can invest in a project before, during and after its development. You can't expect same price throughout that process, though. When Einsteinium was just an idea, price was up to 20 sat. Atm is 700x higher. That's because project is underwent heavy development in the past period. I'm assuming EVA is now for the fist time considerable higher, which could make possible to work on different aspects of EMC2, even more intensive. Again, I can't believe I'm even explaining this to someone...
One would tell those are basics...

first off if you really knew einsteins theory on special relativity you would know the ACTUAL equation is E = γ m c ^ 2 but for layman's terms e=mc^2 is equivalent. now stop being a condescending little prick debating irrevalent topics like the name, the world does not revolve around you. If you had renamed it science coin many people would be like meh and pass but einsteinium has a much better ring to it also there is no carrot in tickers so fuck off and stfu

The growth of a cryptocurrency comes with ups and downs, it's the long term that matters.

Over the last month there have been an enormous rise and I expect it to continue on the long term.

We just have to stick together as a community and the devs have to put energy in getting the right people involved.

Looking forward to December 19th!   Smiley

Great project, I think that decentralized funding of science is a revolutionary idea! But It's unclear for me how the projects for financing will be selected?

You didnt follow the most important rule for investments in crypto: buy low, sell high.

But joke aside, I guess there is nothing to worry about, crypto is a heavy volatile market and there will always be dips, corrections and even crashes. But as we are still in the infancy of cryptocurrencies, it pretty much certain that your loss will recover and you will end up in profit. Just dont panic and hodl. This strategy has payed out for pretty good so far.

Well i got in at a very good price compared to the current value so im still plenty positive with the plan to ride this wave through the fork.  i guess i should rephrase my question to how does gembitz have the inside scoop and is it accurate, or are these just dreams and hype with an exit strategy thats more intelligent than mine

Best thing that happened to me, in crypto world, was Einsteinium's price drop over year ago. That made me hodler, even I wanted to hold it short term, at the beginninning. So I become more familiar with project itself, during past period. I liked what I saw, and, more importantly, I love what will happen in the future. I don't know about gembitz (maybe he have some inside info), but I'm listening what dev's are saying. Not just official statements, but you have to read between the lines sometimes. For example, that GPU mining, gembitz spoke earlier about it, wasn't mentioned anywhere afaik, but if you were able to pick up some subtle (intentional or not) hints, you could deduct that fairly easily.

I find it hard to believe the current increase in price was due to actual developments. I've asked around, and I heard that a Korean pump group is behind the price rise, and also mysterious news about a new amazing development that will be revealed 19th of this month.

If I wanted to buy the element Einsteinium with your coin Einsteinium, I would have to say "how much Einsteinium do I get for Einsteinium?" lol.. I mean, jeez, it's not hard to pick a name that isn't already in use.
