There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

What you can do is search your username in the Advanced Search page. It will show the posts you get quoted/mentioned.

You can also manually check your recent posts, it's easy to look each replies. I do manual because i personally wanted to know replies of other members. I wanted to look some opinions and have some time with them to discuss important topics.

What you can do is search your username in the Advanced Search page. It will show the posts you get quoted/mentioned.

This one is very essential and will surely help us in some various matter. Thanks

I am doing it the hard way and i think it is only me. I usually check my last post history a day if i am not busy to see if my posts got quoted/replied or not. It takes a long time but i think it os worth it.

Is there a way to check get notified when someone quoted one of your posts in a thread?

Unfortunately, there is no feature like that in the moment and most likely it will come with the new forum 2.0, which is unknown when to be released.

Lol! I was going to search my username and when I clicked on the tab...

I am sure I haven't searched that (I'm sure I haven't searched anything). Any idea why that has appeared?

I have proposed a new feature related to this a while back here: [NEW FEATURE] Seeing a post that quoted your post
Unfortunately, this isn't considered important.

Another way of sort of doing that is to search for your username but that's only going to get you mentions of your name be it quote or in-post-mentions. Also, they are sorted by relevance and not chronologically so, it doesn't help that much.

I have not seen any new features proposed here in Meta to ever be implemented, but I'm fairly new compared to other members so, what do I know? Smiley

I also think about this issue, and it will be a good suggestion to forum manager if have a management system and tell us when someone quoted one of your posts in a thread?

You're not alone. I'm also doing the same thing and I like being in the hard way. Actually it's not too hard to check all replies in every threads where I replied. Just being honest here but actually it's a little exciting, seriously.
>_<
It only shows that you're a good spammer buster. Your been searching that keyword since from the start, come on admit it  Tongue

Sometimes, there are things that we should do manually (in the hard way) and don't just rely on things that will make us lazy.

One solution if anyone having problem about this is to check your posts manually for new replies. I'm used to it and I don't think its too difficult, even kids can do it. Just pay some time, it won't take hours.

Search for the watchlist and learn to use it properly.
If you use it in the proper way, you won't miss any new post in the topics you have visited before, with a click of a button, so you won't miss any possible replies, quotes, etc...

pugman was right, get used to it. Though it would be definitely much easier for us to have this "Notification" feature, we don't have any choice but to be contented on the things we currently have right now. That's all we can do (for now).

What I did everytime I want to know whether someone quoted my post is to visit my post history, click on my post (only those which belongs to meta threads, discussing serious matters and also arguments) and then scroll down to check. A laborious task but worth the effort because it enhances me for being a responsive member of the forum Smiley.

I apologise about Navl_027 pugman, he is a Filipino and Filipino can't really avoid calling other people usually strangers a "Sir". It's a way of respecting other people here and we Filipino are used to it. Actually I was also like Navl_027 before who repeatedly call anyone Sir/Ma'am, but someone scared me that I can get Negative Trust for calling anyone Sir or Ma'am  Grin Sorry for the off-topic OP.

I called you sir because I only want to show respect especially to a high-ranked member like you, that's all.  I'm not aware that you don't want to be called that way, I'm sorry.

Ps: edited my post already

Still quite alarming though a little bit unreasonable Sad. Ok I get it! From now on I will now quit using sir/ma'am when addressing to someone. Thanks for the tip.

Same, when I notice that it's not quite good to use Sir/ma'am calling someone in here, I change it. There are many ways of addressing people in different countries, so let's be more formal and think a right term for them. Sometimes it's unreasonable but you must learn how to fit and interact with others in a community.  Wink

I called you sir because I only want to show respect especially to a high-ranked member like you, that's all.

Sometimes when I'm addressing someone, I use mr/mrs or using @username. It doesn't mean you call them by their username, you don't respect them.

You should stop apologizing too  Tongue. You don't have to apologize for him, nor does he have to apologize. My post was just a mocking way to show how things are done here. I wasn't mad at him.

Yep, I read one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3102939.msg32039704#msg32039704

I called you sir because I only want to show respect especially to a high-ranked member like you, that's all.  I'm not aware that you don't want to be called that way, I'm sorry.
People respect me here? WOW. Its all too funny.

Anyhoo, here's out it goes: If you respect someone, you don't have to call them by "Sir"/"Ma'am". Its good thing that you respect people, but in forums, people get irritated by those words, and here's why: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3081595.msg31783432#msg31783432

And, don't apologize for using a particular word, makes you look weak(in forums). Don't combine your IRL lingo with forum lingo. Also, rank doesn't matter, not even a bit.

ALSO, people have usernames(which can be assumed as nickname) here, so you don't want to call someone with a nickname with Sir or Maam. The words Sir, or Maam usually come out due to the age difference aspects. Don't think like that, just assume that all of us here are dumbass nerds sitting in their mom's basements, spending hours on trying to improve a spamfest forum, and live with a family that doesn't understand how bitcoin works.

Sometimes when I'm addressing someone, I use mr/mrs or using @username.
You don't have to use Mr/Mrs either. Just call everyone a stupid fucker, or as TMAN says, a stink nugget.

Whew, after searching for that thread where someone told me that I can get red paint by calling people "Sir/Ma'am". I've found out and recalled me that @Welsh is the one who told me that.
Having said that your posts seem fine, however your likely to get painted with the same brush by a few people if you keep addressing everyone as "sir".
I'm glad that @Welsh told me that earlier, I'm afraid that I might have Red paint by now. What a relief.
Ps. Thanks for @mdayonliner's tutorial on how to quote locked topics.

just assume that all of us here are dumbass nerds sitting in their mom's basements, spending hours on trying to improve a spamfest forum, and live with a family that doesn't understand how bitcoin works.
I don't need to assume, I'm one already  Grin

Check this reply by theymos. I think this is related to your question since it regards to forum development. It looks easy but it's actually complicated.
