Somehow agree for other altcoins, yes. Purely a hype.

Good example is the 2017 hype. There are lots of altcoins last year who rose from over 200% to 300% price increase and it created a thinking that those coins are worth to hold for long. And the most common mistake happened, buying and acquiring lots while the price already on over 100% increase. Honestly it's fine for me if they understand the risks but to expect 100% that their decision is 100% accurate then that's wrong.

Most of the said altcoins only experienced one single push at the top and their current volume now is quiet uninteresting to put a risk now. So yes, always consider dumping an alts if their price is already experiencing a tremendous price increase.

Not only that yet most coins nowadays wont really be easily give you that kind of profit or growth on a short period of time which means you would still need to wait a certain amount of time. Even if you do make compounding it wont really be that easy unlike on last years movements it is attainable but for now it isnt possible. Only 20%? That can be a general rule of thumb, but in Bitcoin a 100% rise in the bull market is a rare thing. Usually it's 300% or more. Sure, we can keep selling at 20% rise, but what would be our advice when it reaches 25% and you've sold at 20? Buy back and risk losing money when it corrects or maybe wait for the correction to happen and buy then? It's not that easy. If you look at the previous bubble chart, if someone heard about Bitcoin in January, bought at 18k USD and waited for a 20% gain, he is fucked now, even though he thought "20% and i'm out!"

Day trade no need to wait 95 percent profits earnings, earn a little is enough for the day traders rolled again the couns into another potential coins and hope gets again an small amout of earnings that's  my trade strategy before. Waiting for 95 percent before sell are advisable for long term hold not for day trade.

So the decision is still up to you, whether you like to be greedy or just hold until such point that you need to sell and take profits.
