Custom title for the inventor of "HODL"?

Then we should give a special title for everyone who did something iconic in the BTT/Bitcoin history.

E.g:
laszlo - the guy who paid 10,000BTC for 2 pizzas.
slush - created the first Bitcoin pool.
silkroad - created the first DNM.

I think it would actually be cool, you would find out people that is now part of the lore of the forum so to speak. There's a lot of interesting characters here that go unnoticed and their contributions are often overlooked, even if for comedic value.

At the same time I think it's even cooler that you find about them spontaneously, while browsing something totally unrelated. And if you want to find more of these guys you must put in some work and lurk (well or you had to, before xtraelv made that list)

Sure, theymos would definitely go ahead and give a custom title to someone who isn't active, who created(misspelled) a word by being drunk and that became the most popular crypto world. Is the internet broken? Nah.

Not required. It would make more sense if he's active, but if you can convince theymos to give them a VIP tag, go ahead. Because Hal Finney got it(for free), for his wonderful real contributions. Also Magical Tux got it too, for hosting the forum.

laszlo is already on bitcoin wiki, while the history made by GameKyuubi is not. But the word "HODL" made it to wikipedia, I guess we should add this history on bitcoin wiki, because it already became an internet slang.

@OP, instead of giving the custom title "HODL" to one person, that topic made a history, and all of those who made their history here, good or bad, should be given a title like this, IMO:

But theymos is the last person to decide, and if it's too early give them this title, maybe the future generation will decide.

P.S, if someone will make a fresh compilation of every history created on this forum, please add this topic - A mistery hidden in the Genesis Block. I wouldn't mind seeing more custom titles, just for recognition of some forum members.

I wouldn't mind seeing more custom titles, just for recognition of some forum members.

I think custom titles would be a nice perk for a premium donator rank and at least people could choose there own then. I think it would be a big selling point, especially for businesses who want to put thinks like "Dicesite Community Manager" or whatnot under there username. Theymos doesn't seem to be in a hurry to add more donator ranks though. I still think we should get rid of signatures completely from lower ranks and give them the option to purchase them via Copper/Silver/Gold ranks etc. The benefits are numerous.
