These announcements are usually not that big of a deal. The whole point is to excite and bring people in to your product (in this case their website). We'll see but I don't think it's anything earth-shattering.
Unfortunately true. Lots of hype with little substance is what it is 99% of the time. Perhaps this will be in the 1%, but I wouldn't count on it. Why market makers? Someone making a market in btc? Doubtful. |

No need to imagine for me. Mixed emotions. I want to see Bitcoin flourish, but really disappointed to see hard earned efforts pushing the crypto disappear because of an idiotic mistake. Disappointed to see so many haters wishing to see MtGox die. Disappointed to see the hard core technologist leave the average person loose their ass. I take full responsibility for my loss - and will chase every lost coin down until I get it back, or help build a better system or new currency where its harder for the average Joe to get ripped. |

Cary said on Bloomberg he wasn't at liberty to discuss the amount of BTC they purchased RTBTC at. My guess a very significant amount of Bitcoins as RTBTC handled over $150 million in trades since it launched last year. |

Sad to see so many people moan that things are bad for bitcoin with what's happened lately and then they rain on any news that might push mass adoption a little further... think guys, this is not a bad thing... did you manage get Bloomberg's (or anyone's) attention with a positive bitcoin story lately? I hear ya. I think people were disappointed in that they were expected something market shifting. My reaction at first was pretty similar, although streamlining the front end is what's needed on a lot of fronts. Anyone here that has a lot of interest knows bitcoin has the chops, it just needs these sorts of things to help people use it. It's boring to us, but if it helps more people use it maybe it's a good thing. While not the market shifting to the moon sort of announcement I or a lot of people were looking for I think it may be a good thing nonetheless. Not huge, go-home-and-boink-the-wife-with-some-Metallica-blasting great, but I'll take it. Yeah, Nic overpumped it a bit, but as a CEO that was big news for his company. Maybe it's just time to think about the fact that just because something is getting pumped by a CEO of a bitcoin company doesn't mean it's something massive for bitcoin.... |

The highlight being Zeroblock would now have a realtime Orderbook:  IMO better than announcing Blockchain.com!  Either way, it doesn't real register on the richter scale I guess. |
