What can we do to stimulate development on x/0 coins? Id love to see either of them jump started again.  Kr105, Thomas?  You guys still around?  GPU-unfriendly chains = DO NOT WANT!

They can be put together, merged mining with IXcoin as host.

IXcoin - Nakasiato or whatever needs to quit talking about fixing the Time Travel Exploit and rework the difficulty algo and release it.

I say just go back to a fixed block cycle, independent of duration.  Maybe not 2016, but something smaller.  Keep the asymmetric retarget schedule though, unless there's something about it that is the cause of an exploit.

The problem big miners come in, run the difficulty up to a million and then leave, making the block chain crawl for weeks or months till the next target is hit. Slush did this on purpose to NMC.
Slush didn't do this, everybody jumped on Namecoin mining the second the difficulty drop made it profitable, and mined 2000 blocks in three days instead of two weeks.

The correct answer is there is only one Bitcoin. It has been incredibly thought out and there is nothing to improve. All this other crap is crap.

Yeah I've been thinking about that, and this could be mitigated to an extent with merged mining, which also brings a degree of 51% protection.  Besides, even if he goes with a symmetric difficulty algo, it's still vulnerable to a large miner running up the difficulty.

If you want to see IXC/I0C comeback then we need to get a hold of the devs, fix the chain, merge mine and get an an exchange.

Why not build a new chain? Because you own millions of IXC/I0C? IXC/I0C don't have a future. I really doubt that doublec would reopen his exchanges just to see a massive dumping of your millions i.e. scamming the new buyers...

New chains are fine as well.  Just so long as we don't have to read another bleepin SC thread in this forum lol

Why is that scamming?
It will bring down price on the exchange.
People start trading them and whatever happens, happens...
People have free will and can think for themselves...

There are people who mined 125,000 or more BTC at low difficulty... Is that scamming? Nope... They didn't know what would happen and just took the risk to mine...

For me, mining is just a hobby now... Can't make profit @ 0,33$ kWh here... I'll mine i0coins or ixcoins if they become zombies!

He already said what we needed to do for him to consider it. Solidcoin is the only chain he has publicly stated will never return.

I would like i0coin or ixcoin to become big again, just to piss off CH Tongue
What could we do to make it a big success?

The exchange is the least of the problem, that will come with no problem once we get the issues fixed.

I can drop 70 GH /S on any chain I want to help against 51%.

Maybe your 70 GH/s would BE the 51%+?  Grin

Wasn't there a thread about that about a month ago?  Interesting concept because I liked the ideas behind the original SolidCoin.

If you do revive SC1 be sure to trademark the name and then file cease and desist against RealSolid.

SC1 isn't dead. Just last night I fired up an old VM that had a copy of SC1 on it. So for fun I launched the SC1. It quickly made 6 connections and got to downloading the blockchain. Somebody is still mining it.

If you make a GPU-friendly altcoin, please give it unique features which actually distinguish it significantly from Bitcoin.

YEah, I am pretty agree with thiis idea. Every scam coin starts, I will buy in some at the very beginning and sell it when less than a week, but still hold some.

I have lots of remaining ixcoins, so just start the exchange again. So I can dump them to the people who want it. I'm such a noble person who like to see the wish of people realized. you want ixcoin, I will sell some to you.

Nasakioto already fixed this, in fact the retarget is shorter than solidcoin.  like 144 blocks.  Nasakioto is working on ixcoin.  I think anyone can work on iocoin, but you could also split on iocoin.
