Showing sources serves two purposes: giving credit, and making statements verifiable. What he did in that thread is just opy/pasting text from different sources together into an incoherent post.
Each citation should have it's individual source link, and it shouldn't be literally copied. I don't think this text would require 9 different sources if it wouldn't be copy/pasted together.
I'm pretty sure it's only meant to earn Merit.

Players can change their Crypto-game's nick every time they want, and back then it was "normal" to farm accounts in games and rounds, looking at usernames in other gambling sites some of them don't even exist   Other connections(your last one, joniboini's and cheaterdetector's) are solid, I am not sure about CG connection.

Note that I'm not saying they aren't alts. I'm saying there isn't any reasonable evidence. To prove it, you'll need to show an address that was posted by an alt account before it was used by the main account.
You can probably find thousands of Newbies and  Jr. Members that just copy/paste other bounty entries for Activity.

There are some parts of the discussion that can be accused as plagiarism even stating the source/credits of the original content. I beg to disagree in this kind of act, knowing that someone took credit for other's work. If this kind of activity didn't paid attention to, then it will spread across the entire platform.

When worse come to worst, some accounts would abuse it and can't be tolerated. As far as I can remember, when attending actual forums, discussions should be stated by their own perspective and opinions. If you're using others content, make it sure that you're using it as a basis of your own topic or for elaborating some critical analysis.
