Lately I have noticed some good news and bad news about Bitcoin.
Many people think that bad news will make the price of Bitcoin "go down" and good news will make the price of Bitcoin "Rise".
So on this topic I would like to discuss "How much the power of news can affect the Bitcoin price?"
I appreciate your answers and responses.
Thanks   Smiley
Media is very powerful. It can sway any fact or reality in order to influence its audience. The negativities or false news that media brings usually affects people in their decision making. And news about Bitcoin for the past months or years were not so good. Which is why the image of Bitcoin have been unfortunately stained.

The effect of news is hard to predict, there are many examples of the price being moved a lot or only a little, sometimes the price even moves in the opposite direction than expected. As a rule of thumb, the more the news directly affect Bitcoin, the more they are likely to move the price. This is why Bitcoin nearly never reacts to unrelated news like wars, economic disasters, altcoins and so on, despite many people trying to find a connection. Also sometimes there are just coincidences that make it seem like the market has reacted, but then it doesn't happen again with similar news. And by looking at the ETF reactions or China news, you can see a pattern that reactions become smaller and smaller with every time.

A legit news would really appreciate and depreciate the price of bitcoin. It defends on how the news affect the value of the Bitcoin. For all the bad news would make the bitcoin down since others would sell since they are afraid that it would not appreciate again.

News is just the trigger for people to panic or for hype to build. In some instances, bad news are fake or simply FUD and then the price will drop for no reason at all. A lot of people also have some conspiracy theories and when this gets picked up by social media, it will spread like wild fire and then it will be published as fact.

The Shills know this, so they try to spread as much FUD as possible to push the price down. ^grrrrrr^

as much as possible, news affects the price of bitcoin. the better the news background the more potential investors come to the market
It does impact it to an extent. but mostly like you mentioned, it invites new investors and attracts new people

words are very powerful and it could really change the bitcoin market price in the way that people will going to believe on it. As we all know that the reason why bitcoin market price goes to hype are those speculations that usually came from the mindset of the investors which really will going to happen.

None of the news affect the bitcoin price. Those who are in bitcoin must not be affected by such news. The effect may be on those who would start investing or new to bitcoin who are derailed because of negative news.

The value of Bitcoin will soon drop if dealing with negative news and its value will recover soon with positive news about bitcoin, so these news are indeed strong enough to affect bitcoin because it will be used by investors to predict the price of rising and falling bitcoin...

In a so little market everything can conditionate price and trader sentiment.
Many people act own trading strategy basing it on news.
In positive buy, on negative sell.

I do not agree with you at all. Do you even know how volatile this market truly is? This market is filled with hypersensitive investors who react to every small piece of news in a small or big way which contributes to the volatility of this market. This is why this market is far more riskier for investors when compared to the traditional stock markets etc. Do not invest into this market if you are not willing to lose your money. The upcoming ETF decision could rock the market in a big way(positive or negative).

It does really seem to create a way that news could have the power to move the bitcoin market price. Usually it could encourage people to invest more especially if there are many people doing speculations which could add up for bitcoin to get hype.

It's not just bitcoin, the power of news will affect everything. That is why people refer to rupert murdoch as one the most powerful / influential men in the world. someone should send him some bitcoins and then we'll see more positive news

Of course it will much affected as most of the people are reading, watching and relying to the daily news in which it will give vital information to the people thats is why if possible that the Bitcoin news to be release is reliable that it will not create FUD to the masses so that Bitcoin will always be lifted up in which it will attract more people to invest making the real demand to increase too.

The cost of bitcoin does not react to all news, so do not make conclusions only on the news. It is necessary to take into account a variety of factors and a detailed analysis of the coin.

The laws of the Crypto-currency market are very similar to those of the stock market. Thus, the bitcoin rate is determined primarily by the changing demand and supply to it, while the most noticeable fluctuations in value are provoked by participants with solid assets. It is their actions that provoke an increase in the number of those who want to buy virtual currency or get rid of it as soon as possible. With the increase in demand, the rate of bitcoin also increases, respectively, with a decrease in the volume of trading compared to the usual level - it falls. one way to dramatically change the course of bitcoins is to spread the information that will testify to increasing its investment attractiveness or vice versa - about decisions and events that bear negative consequences. An example of the latter can be regularly appearing news about the desire of the Russian authorities to prohibit the circulation of crypto-currencies in Russia and declaring them monetary surrogates. This, unfortunately, is in fact so, but sometimes infopovodov can be fake (fictional), and they are distributed specifically to change the course.

Yes, the news about the cryptocurrency market has a great power to affect the price of the Bitcoin. This depends obviously on the type of news. The positive news about the market like the acceptance of it by the government, more exchanges, ATMs, etc will increase the demand of the crypto and its price too. On the other hand the negative news like bans will decrease its demand and its price too.

I think it all depends on the weight of the news. News has a very strong effect on the price. All traders who trade bitcoin always follow the news.
