Nyancoin is pretty undervalued right now I think, and the community is small and active.  Can use some extra exposure.

Dynamic coin had one unique feature i liked, the scaling block reward with scaling hash power.

too bad it just had so many problems at launch.  i think it should just be put to rest.

i'm still shaking my head with the "B" start address.

There are a lot of new coins but not many with all the right elements. ECCoin is smilar to DC in that the mining period is swift and it goes 99% to PoS after that. ... The difference is it works smoothly and the dev is highly active

 Reawakening DynamicCoin

Haven't found any interesting coin since a few days and now found the DynamicCoin thread again.

So I fired up my client and expected no connections but I got about 3 connections.

Now the getpeerinfo tells:

"addr" : "193.37.138.34:15777", "startingheight" : 6816,
"addr" : "188.246.42.233:15777", startingheight" : 18180,
"addr" : "204.195.130.236:15777", "startingheight" : 14892,

So every one on an own bockheight and my client was on 14892 too. It didn't catch up to that 18180.
Strange enough I could mine it from 14892 onward

I installed the Client on a second PC used the addnotes from the first page although they seem dead and there it synchronized up to 18180.
and connected to one more active peer:
94.180.199.19 "startingheight" : 18180

Same thing I can solo mine there too.

Then I send 1 coin from PC1 (14892) to PC2 (18180) and it recived that coin!
So I tried the reverse and send to PC1. Although PC2 booked it as send it wasn't recived on PC1. Not so surprising.
However after that the client on PC1 was sort of frezzing in operation. It blocked for several second now and then.

So next I deleted every file in the user folder (AppData\Roaming\DynamicCoin) EXCEPT: wallet.dat, peers.dat, DynamicCoin.conf
to have it download a new blockchain.

And it did so.. although I had to restart the client half of the way. (somehow all those clients block after a certain amount of processed blocks).

After that it synchronized at the same block high like PC2 (18180) and I recived the coin I have send and of course still have all the old coins.

So could it be as simple as that to recover the coin?
Everyone just deleting the blockchain and redownloading of the current net?

My miner is running so 18180 is slowly increasing.

Current: 18384, Total Coins: 760859, difficult: 0.008

The ten days are over however we are not on block 28800. so mining is still possible and at the same time POS is active and minting.

I don't care so much if recovering is possible or not.. But i am bored and this is somewhat interesting.

p.s. My first mined blocks of today just matured. Seems all fine.

so coin dead???

Coin is in hibernation: seed pod, or like alien egg.  It does not die, but can stay dormant until revived by some visitor in the distant future.

FYI, though this coin is hibernating.....

Note: Don't mine with Mingopool.com

Mingopool Dev has been stealing coins on other alt currencies.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=492311.1840

Op, remove his from the mining pool list if his pool has been added.
