Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Nice, but it's impossible to match this order: http://imgur.com/SN2XS

The ask for 124BTC at 2.29 is mine, but both orders are still open.

Edit: I see that I don't have btc balance to fill entire order, but I think that at least partial fill should happen. It's also stupid that DoM shows orders for which there's not enough balance on buyer/seller account, but I already reported that to you.

Edit2: Ok, now I have SELL 1BTC @ 2.29 USD and it don't match that BUY @ 2.29 USD...

Hi Slush, it looks like the 1btc matched and sold fine? And 30btc after that... not sure if that was you?

Our trade engine currently runs quite a few security checks on each trade, and this can create a lag between when the order posts and when it fills. Some of these checks are unnecessary, but as the site just launched we're taking all precautions. The engine will get much faster over time.

Yep, that 1btc order matched after some time.

I assume that you run these checks before showing the order in the orderbook?

There are many checks at different steps. Some before the order is registered, some before it appears, some before it's processed, and some after. Slush's recommendation to prevent orders that can't be fully met from appearing in the order book is valid. Right now we have a mechanism which sweeps away such orders periodically to keep the order book clean and accurate, but long-term we'll be revising this to be much faster (and indeed prevent such orders from ever appearing at all).

Thanks for the questions guys we really appreciated getting all kinds of feedback.

I see three orders @ 2.30 hanging on DoM for many minutes (one bid, two asks), without obvious reason. One of them is mine. Is anything wrong with those trades?
