It is said that satoshi holds around 700k BTC. Currently, that's about 4,883,000,000 USD.
I think that would be enough money. Wouldn't be that necessary to cash out 14,000,000,000 USD (@ 20k USD per BTC).

Besides the fact that he could never cash out that sum, thats more money than anyone could spend. Even at today's rate which isn't 'as profitable'.

Additionally it is not known whether 1) satoshi still lives and 2) still has access to the private keys. I doubt they will move ever again.

Satoshi's coins won't ever be sold for fiat. They'll probably be used to practice force over development by simply using these coins as a vote. Right now it might not seem like much of a danger, but eventually it could be. Bitcoin is pretty much guaranteed to keep going up, so selling coins or potential elitist domination by having a majority share is not a difficult choice.

Asking whether satoshi will ever sell his coins is like asking if Jesus will come back from the dead. Nobody can say for sure, but probably not  . I think if satoshi was ever going to sell his coins then he would have  likely already done so by now, or maybe he's just the worlds longest bitcoin hodler?  . I think satoshi is either dead, lost access to his coins, or maybe just purposely abandoned them to make it fairer. If he does ever come back though I hope he's wise and fair enough not to just dump them all and sell them off slowly and bit by bit as to not cause a panic. Which makes total sense. He could have had a mining rig already set up right when bitcoin was released or to achieve maximum stealth, he started mining when bitcoin has a little bit of a community so he can blend in. For all we know, he might be the buyer of the first coins that have been mined. It doesn't make sense to make something revolutionary, take some of it, build a forum for it, and then just leave it at that. Of course you're going to do something with it. You're going to make money from it. Because otherwise, that would mean that you never truly believed your creation.

satoshi came off pretty altruistic. given the lack of miners in the early days, why would he have any need to pool mine in 2010? anything is possible, but i sort of doubt that scenario given that he said this:

One thing for sure is that if this is a real person or a group of people, they would presently be one of the richest people on earth by now if they are to sell the coins.

You need facts to back this up otherwise it is just baseless speculation. If satoshi was going to sell his coins then he almost certainly would have by now. He probably either purposely abandoned them for fairness, or he's dead. Maybe both. I think there's more chance of a supercomputer cracking his keys at some point than him actually coming back.
