Bitcoin Garden: BlockShow returns to celebrate Blockchain in Asia with Asia Blockchain Week in November 2018
https://bitcoingarden.org/blockshow-returns-to-celebrate-blockchain-in-asia-with-asia-blockchain-week-in-november-2018/

Asia is the world’s growth factory. Two of the fastest growing economies in the world at the moment China and India are in Asia. It has been nearly 50 years since the Bangkok declaration that created ASEAN, which has emerged as one of the fastest growing economic blocs is projected to enjoy a GDP growth rate of 3-8% over the next 5 years. It is in this economic centre of the world, in it’s very heart that BlockShow Asia 2018 will be taking place as a part of the Asia Blockchain Week between November 27 – December 1 at the Marina Bays Sands Hotel.

In the previous 2 years, Blockchain has grown to become a nearly trillion dollar market, however valuations have fallen sharply and the market has bled nearly US$ 200 bln. The fall in the cryptocurrency markets has meant that hot money has been expunged out of the system and only serious players are left. The maturity of the market also means that institutional investors, governments, corporates and technology companies have also gained the understanding that cryptocurrencies and the blockchain are here to stay and are not just a passing fad. Even the World Bank is getting on the Blockchain bandwagon and has hired an Australian Bank to create, allocate, transfer and manage bonds on the Blockchain.

World Bank’s Treasurer Arunma Oteh told India’s Mint newspaper, “Since our first bond transaction in 1947, innovation and investor satisfaction have been important hallmarks of our success with leveraging capital markets for development.Today, we believe that emerging technologies, equally offer transformative, yet prudent possibilities for us to continue to innovate, respond to investor needs and strengthen markets.”....

Bitcoin Garden: Asia Blockchain Week showcases maturity of the ecosystem with an impressive speaker lineup
https://bitcoingarden.org/asia-blockchain-week-showcases-maturity-of-the-ecosystem-with-an-impressive-speaker-lineup/

BlockShow is bringing Asia Blockchain Week to Singapore. Audiences are all set to be enthralled by over 100 speakers between November 27 – December 1, 2018 at Marina Bay Sands Luxury Hotel. The first ever organised by BlockShow, the Asia Blockchain Week brings together a diverse array of investors, entrepreneurs, developers, pundits and experts together. A five day networking opportunity but also a great place to listen to insights and discover where Blockchain is headed and how it is reshaping our world.

Blockchain isn’t just a passing fad, it is a technology whose time has come. BlockShow has been highlighting the importance of this since 2017. In the following year, BlockShow capitalised on their work and helped welcome millions into the Blockchain fold. Now the writing is clear on the wall, it is time to help Blockchain mature. This can only happen when people come together and share their own unique experiences and values. As Venturebeat calls BlockShow, “The flagship event, which has grown quickly to become the largest Blockchain technology roadshow.” and Forbes describes BlockShow as “Major Blockchain Conference.” The reputation of BlockShow is its main draw....

Bitcoin Garden: No Cash, No Pain: What if You Woke Up to No Paper Money?
https://bitcoingarden.org/no-cash-no-pain-what-if-you-woke-up-to-no-paper-money/

What if we wake up one day and find that all the paper money that we are familiar with has disappeared? We might shake our empty wallets but it would do us no good. Yet all is not lost, we still have access to cryptocurrencies. Blockchain-based technology has already ushered in a myriad of cryptocurrencies that will soon fill the void left by paper money. One of the first victims of the death of cryptocurrency would be the bulky physical wallet, which would no longer be required. We would be able to carry out all our transactions through our smartphones. However, the real change would begin to happen soon after paper money disappears.

Cryptocurrency and its underlying blockchain technology would herald a new era. Now that transactions can be done on a global scale without barriers of paper currency, new systems would be built that allow for novel uses of digital cash. A student in Nicaragua would now be able get his scholarship directly in his cryptocurrency wallet. An author would be able to donate half of their royalties automatically to a charity of their liking in Canada. As cryptocurrencies gain universal usage and get paired up with technology like Internet of Things (IoT), a smart energy efficient air-conditioner would be able to transfer the savings it made directly to a mutual fund or a bank account....

Bitcoin Garden: MYTVCHAIN Presents 1st Decentralised Sports Web TV and ICO at Blockshow Asia in Singapore 28th-29th November https://bitcoingarden.org/mytvchain-presents-1st-decentralised-sports-web-tv-and-ico-at-blockshow-asia-in-singapore-28th-29th-nov/

French Web TV-caster MYTVCHAIN is proud to present and showcase the first web TV platform dedicated to sports clubs and athletes, powered by blockchain technology, at Blockshow Asia in Singapore, their first foray into Asia. The platform allows sports clubs to create their own web TV and animate their communities whilst simultaneously generating revenue to develop and support their activities, thereby helping sports clubs to build brand loyalty and accelerate growth in the development of sport club channels.

With advertising-based revenue models in media generally declining on the web, sports clubs need to find new sources of funding video content and dissemination. MYTVCHAIN is providing that answer in the form of a community-driven blockchain-powered platform. Users of MYTVCHAIN are rewarded in tokens for viewing content on the platform and can utilize these tokens for a variety of transactions – from supporting their favourite clubs or content producers with donations, to purchasing services or videos from MYTVCHAIN and more. The platform is up and running and already onboards its first sports clubs in France....
