hi, if anyone can assist it would be great, heres the deal

im using bitcoin-qt to do my transactions, ive been using this address lately :
https://blockchain.info/de/address/1C8Ddaxgrrfa4DPZpTLKHKNyQZsSmdu8zJ

as u can see, balance reported on blockchain is 0.21308387 BTC at the time im writing this , but when i open up my qt client it reports 0.186032 BTC balance.
i was using a bit older version of qt, when i found this problem, i upgraded to latest 0,8,6 i think, but there are still some btc missing.
wallet is synced.

any idea?

You may be affected by transaction malleability, which can result in bitcoin-qt misreporting balances.  See here:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1xm49o/due_to_active_malleable_transaction_relayers_it/

There's a patch on that page, but this issue is also addressed (I believe) in the latest bitcoin-qt release candidate:

https://bitcoin.org/bin/0.9.0/test/README.txt

So you may need to upgrade to 0.9.0-rc2 to address the issue.  I'm not 100% this is what you're experiencing, but it sounds like it might be.  I did check on blockexplorer, and the balance there matches blockchain.info.  So you likely still have those Bitcoins, just your client is misreporting the balance.

Under the "Transactions" tab in your wallet are there any transactions that don't have the green checkmark that indicates that the transaction is fully confirmed?

If the problem is in your wallet.dat, then re-downloading the chain will probably not help.

Hopefully the problem is not in your wallet.dat.
