This tool used to be my secret weapon.   Since I have no use for it anymore, I figure I release it to the public... might be useful for you day-traders still in the game.

See a combined 3D orderbook of USD_BTC, USD_ETH, USD_LTC here:
https://bitcoindepth.com

Orderbook data from Binance, Bitstamp, Bitfinex, Coinbase, Kraken, Huobi, Poloniex, OKEx, Bitmex, Deribit, HitBTC, Gemini is pulled, processed and streamed to you in close to real-time.
I believe you'll see the market like you've never seen it before..

This barely scratches the surface of what I have underwraps...  there's a lot of possible improvements for sure, like adding more pairs, camera controls and such.
It takes substantial processing power and bandwidth to run so we'll see how things turn out.  If there's potential, I may release the rest.

Some tips :
1] To see the books of individual exchanges you can modify the URL like:
https://bitcoindepth.com#channel/USDT_BTC@Binance

2] If you like to view multiple pairs simultaneously, visit:
https://bitcoindepth.com/iframes2

3] Tested working in Google Chrome. Disable throttling of background timers at chrome://flags if you want it to keep rendering while the tab is hidden.

Cheers.

OK... it seems like something interesting, at least because you're right: I haven't something quite like this before so yeah, never seen the market in this way.

Except I'm not sure I understand what I'm seeing or how to use the data (and why does this help day traders?). What I can see is a pretty even depth on both sides of the orderbook... somewhat higher on the far variants on the buy side is all.

Be useful to add some values or at least percentage difference from the middle (or average) price.

Yep, adding scales is first on my TODO list.

One thing I forgot to mention:
The orderbook is combined from 12 exchanges, but we know there are minor price variations as well as there being both spot and derivatives exchanges.
So I haven't combined them exactly 1-to 1.  For example, currently I've given higher weight to spot exchanges vs derivatives, e.g.,  Bitmex's book is only factored in at 10% (because their book is so massive compared to everyone elses) while Gemini is factored in at 100%.  Weighting might be something the user can customize in a later version.

For day-traders, you'll be able to see the benefit on bigger price moves.

FINALLY a thing with beautiful design in crypto market. I have always cared about the ease of use and UX more than the features because if you make it harder to understand whats the point of having bunch of features that I can't even understand let alone use. I rather use something with a great UX and amazing design than go with something that has a million features that I will never use as a basic trader.

This looks like it has been done by someone either knows design or a designer themselves, the beauty on the page and the ease that I can understand what stands for what, it is amazing. I hope many will follow the path for better design.

Thank you for the positive comments.  UX is definitely not my strong suit, so it must be the data that's beautiful I guess.

Might release some of my bigger / badder toys if this gets enough interest.  I keep them classified for now though, wouldn't want those to fall into the wrong hands.  Wink

I did not understand what that means, but after a while I realized, the idea is terrific.
The site needs a lot of improvements, but as a start, it's a good starter.
With the addition of camera controls, changing charts, Paris, data and other things will become perfect.
Keep up the excellent work. Smiley

Actually fascinated by this work, not because it is already perfect or I fully understand the usefulness of it but because of its ingenuity. This is the first time that I see a real-time 3D model of the order book from different exchanges. I'm actually getting mesmerized by it by just looking and staring at it.  Grin It definitely paints a different picture about the market (be it a good one/useful one or not) and really needs some familiarization to use it to its full extent.

Is it safe for me to assume that you are the owner of this website? Do you have any plan to improve it in the future?

Appreciate the positive feedback.  Ideas are definitely welcome.

This was my secret weapon but since my holdings have been completely obliterated I figured I might as well release it into the wild.

I have some improvements in mind like adding more pairs, explanations, camera controls and being able to see further back or even fly backwards in time etc..

Some  features are really resource intensive (processing power, storage, bandwidth) so I might make it subscription-based if there's demand.

Hey man, no harm intended, but how is what you've created different from this? http://data.bitcoinity.org/markets/books/USD

Previously there was coinsight.org as well, with bid/ask sum tracking but its gone now.

edit: nevermind, I see now.

Its like chartbuddy, but live. And I loved chartbuddy. See here: https://bitco.in/forum/threads/chartbuddy-archive-thread.1173/page-335

Yup,  pretty much a mash up of bitcoinity's combined orderbook and chartbuddy's 3d view.  Might not be a completely new concept, however I registered the domain over 2 years ago so it's something I've had in mind for a while. Wink

Finally had the time and idle bandwidth (yes, sharing with a whole swarm of kids streaming almost nonstop) but got to see properly how it looks like with a bit of patience. As I said, really looking forward to being able to use scaling for it, and eventually being able to toggle between the 12 exchanges you use. Not that I might be able to use this to trade, but the visualisation itself is quite something. Still refreshing to see in a hotpot of boring TA charts!

Links to view the individual orderbooks are there now as well as some basic camera controls using the mouse.

Will add explanations, scales and such in the next update.  Would be pretty sweet to be able to do a fly through using Oculus or something down the road lmao..

Couldn't seem to access the camera controls, or my browser/computer is struggling, but I'll be sure to check it out perhaps during some idle time. That 4D idea is pretty sweet! Any chance you want to further burden our CPUs with additional types of visualisation? I know this is purely from tapping into exchanges API/data, but I wonder if transactional visualisations might also be possible - perhaps from known addresses or patterns. I'm always looking for these sort of visuals that show us blockchain in a whole new... dimension?

Some idea of what I'm talking about from these old pieces of Bitcoin transactions, though not necessarily using blockchain data.
