What happened:: The proton block chain was taken over by the community and changed to phase with the permission of the original developer. Today, an announcement was placed in the forum for proton, but there is no active proton blockchain. This is likely a scam. The poster deleted my warning to for investors and miners to be careful.

Amount Scammed: None yet, but likely mining to the pools suggested will not provide payouts in proton since there is no longer an active proton chain.
Payment Method: N/A
Proof of Payment: N/A
PM/Chat Logs: None
Additional Notes: Spammer has deleted my posting warning potential investors and miners rather than just replying and clarifying. I am on the community development team for Phase, so I am well positioned to know if there is indeed an active proton blockchain.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.
