Nengcoin v1.6.0.2 Released - Android Phone on Arm (arm64 armhf)

Nengcoin v1.6.0.2 released with hard fork at block height 2655920

Android phone/tablet wallets on 64 bits or 32 bits Arm (arm64 and armhf):
https://github.com/ShorelineCrypto/nengcoin/releases/tag/v1.6.0.2

This is major release and all new and existing NENG members are required to upgrade wallet.  The old version of wallet will not sync at the first cheetah block after block height 2655920
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Base diff just reset to low level, boom for USB ASIC/GPU solo miners
base difficulty of NENG has reset to 0.002 just minutes ago. Another boom for GPU or USB ASIC solo miners.

Below screen shot is my GPU Nvidia GTX 1050 cards, mined 5 blocks of NENG in a few minutes on solo mining mode:

For the reset yesterday, I mined 220k NENG on my GPU solo mining setup, GTX 1050 Nvidia card. USB ASIC, moonlander2 on two rotating nodes setup mined total of 1.98 million NENG on this reset.

One day after this reset, which was today earlier NENG had another reset. Two resets in a row. This second reset was shallower, I did not mine GPU, only on USB ASIC. My moonlander2 solo mining on two rotating nodes mined another 1.24 million NENG today.

Yesterday was almost 2 million NENG, today more than 1 million, two days in a row, together more than 3 million NENG mined on my small USB ASIC solo rig with only 3.5 Mh/s hash rate.

Nengcoin has successfully Hard Forked on Block Height with Shallow Reset

Nengcoin (NENG) has successfully hard forked on block height 2655921.  The last block that old wallet (v1.5.x version) can sync with v1.6.x is  block height  2655920.

Please also note that after the hard fork,  effectively Nengcoin had a shallow reset to diff = 0.00244.  This is another boom for  USB ASIC/GPU solo miners.   The shallow reset is purely caused by hard fork, not a common type of reset we saw before.

See below block hash details on the hard fork:
Code:

Currently many pools are on old chains. As far as I am aware, only Cminors and spools.online are on correct v1.6.x chain:
https://spools.online/explorer/NENG

Note: note that spools.online just did a wallet refresh from beginning, so it is on old blocks, catching up.

Below is also online for reference, the explorer has not updated to latest block, but the web site should show a shaddow how much blocks number total, how much nodes connected, that can be a guide. Also below difficulty on menu is correct difficulty currently.

First cheetah diff block after hard fork:

https://spools.online/explorer/NENG?height=2663069

The cheetah difficulty changed after hard fork.  See above link, the block was mined by CPU miners at cheetah diff = 0.0078

Nengcoin Hit All Time High Price (USD) on 3/12/2021

There were heavy buying Nengcoin/Cheetahcoin over past two days. By our account, Nengcoin (NENG) price hit all time high on USD term.

Data source

(1) NENG/DOGE trading price was obtained from ShorelineCrypto exchange database raw data, published here:

https://github.com/ShorelineCrypto/shoreline_lt_chart

Using Rstudio, the raw daily trading price/volume can be sorted in Rstudio to find the highest trading price.

(2) DOGE/USD price was obtained from yahoo finance as excel sheet download.
We used DOGE/USD closing price as the daily price for calculation. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/DOGE-USD/history/

Result of Highest NENG/DOGE price in History

Sheet manually calculated in LibreOffice as shown below, the old all time high trading price on USD was on 08/09/2019 with 539 million daily trading volume at high price of 0.00039 DOGE price. Because dogecoin price rose significantly already over past 2 years, on USD term, today (03/12/2021) NENG price is highest at 2.744E-06 USD, almost 2.4x times more on USD than the peak price of Auguest 9, 2019 for NENG.

Please checkout the sheet table details at:
https://www.reddit.com/r/nengcoin/comments/m3zmp8/nengcoin_hit_all_time_high_price_usd_on_3122021/

Metcalfe's law on value of Nengcoin and Cheetahcoin
Metcalfe's law states that the value of a telecommunications network is proportional to the square of the number of connected users of the system (n2).

Metcalfe's law on value of Nengcoin and Cheetahcoin for me is the number of full nodes on the network, how many users and traders and miners and hodlers, and wallet addresses. Probably two metrics, how many wallet address and full node on the network are main metrics. Full node count is likely to be the most obvious for the success. The value will skyrocket when we scale up.

Nengcoin and Cheetahcoin, bitcoin on mobile phones, a heaven for USB ASIC miners, litecoin and dogecoin on steroids.

My current estimate for both Nengcoin and Cheetahcoin is that full nodes count on both coins are around 100 to 200 full nodes. Long term goal is for both NENG and CHTA to have more full nodes than ethereum, which has 10,000 full nodes around world with $200 billion USD market cap. Short term goal is for 1000/2000 full nodes with rocket price discovery going up. As full node counts sky rocket, both coins should moon on price in 2021!

How to Guess Reset on NENG/CHTA
Use explorer to check the latest block, calculate the block timer per block:
https://cfpool.eu/explorer/CHTA

https://spools.online/explorer/NENG

CHTA target 2 minutes per block, NENG targets 1 minute per block. Check last 20 blocks average block time. If it is extremely slow, much slower than targeted and desired block time target, you can guess reset is coming soon.

Each difficulty adjustment time is a chance for reset. Divide the block number by 1440 (for NENG) or by 720 (for CHTA). Each time algo will decide reset or not, reset means difficulty to all time low to cheetah diff, adjustment on difficulty is simply up or down mildly say 30% for base difficulty.

I noticed that too. Cminor seems to be more stable pool.  There seems to be DDOS attack recently on pools, which might be reason for offline so much on pools

How to Fix Android phone CPU Glitches

My android phone is 4 core android with 8 CPUs in UserLand app linux. I ran below in phone for dual mining Nengcoin/Cheetahcoin almost 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Code:
python main.py  --interval 10 --cpu 6

However, about once per month, my phone had wacky behavior. This CPU glitch was reported by other members too.

So when the cheetah miners start to mine either of coins, the cpu usage should hit 600%. However, it had wacky behavior that the cpu usage stuck at no more than 400%. The wacky behavior also almost mined no coins. Two phenomena of this wacky behavior:

(1) CPU usage never be higher than 400%

(2) in cheetah miner prompt print out, instead of every 10 seconds, it get wacky:

Code:
ASIC/GPU miners got stuck for 244 seconds
ASIC/GPU miners got stuck for 259 seconds
ASIC/GPU miners got stuck for 275 seconds
The correct printout should be every 10 seconds:

Code:
ASIC/GPU miners got stuck for 244 seconds
ASIC/GPU miners got stuck for 254 seconds
ASIC/GPU miners got stuck for 264 seconds
The fix

Root cause of this issue is unknown. However, there is fix as below:
shut down UserLand app, reboot android phone, then restart UserLand app two coins wallet would fix this phone CPU glitch.

That tracking page is no longer that useful.

CRPool is on wrong chain (v1.5.x), not valid after hard fork.

CMinors and Findblocks Pool are only two working pools now with correct chain on v1.6.x
