This is such a scam I really have nothing else to say.   Other than I hope people don't send them money.

So right now, it's a working business model vs escrow which isn't used in raffles that I know of. Keep in mind that Satoshi Dice and other big risk formats don't have escrow too. None of the big bitcoin casinos have that (correct me if I am wrong).

If your site is already trusted from this community then no need have an escrow and that part I completely agree. But do you think your site and you trusted members on this forum?

Whatever is your explanation for not using escrow investments are better compared to investing on new site.

From my research on other raffles, like Princess Margaret Lotto for example, when they get let's say 10% of the revenue in their bank, they begin to spend it on advertising and operating costs.

If you start using your 10% and if you don't reach your target then what happens to the funds you already raised?

I agree with your suggestion about investing on our site; we have planned to do this. But, what do you mean we start using 10% and we don't reach target? Do you mean, we don't sell all our tickets? Or do you mean, we fail to raise $1.2M because we over spent on operating costs?

Come on guys, this is clearly a scam.
They sort of messed up with this post:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2874667.msg29545770#msg29545770
If you want to be a scammer, try not to make it that obvious.

Hey Moon!

The only people who are part of our team are listed on our main page at bitcoinjackpot.global, so whoever made that post is not on our team. Every team member's Bitcointalk or Reddit profiles are linked on our site as well. I, myself, am part of the Bitcoin Jackpot team, so if you have any concerns, please let me know.

Regards,
CryptoJoshua

LOL at your website.  I don't see any Bitcointalk or Reddit profiles.

After watching these videos, I am 100% sold  Roll Eyes

How much did you pay these people to record a 10 second video clip?

The BitcoinTalk and Reddit profiles are listed under my profile picture, and 2 other members. Take a closer look.

These teens are our interns as described on their bios and actually we've known each other for years; they will all be at the live draw. They are helping with various other tasks instead of being active on forums, which is why they don't have Bitcointalk or Reddit profiles.

When do you expect to have 100,000 tickets sold?

Looks like about 250 have been sold since early Feb and I'm guessing most of them were free tickets.

At this rate it will take you ~50-60 years.

The much more likely outcome is you'll get tired of promoting it and the whole thing will just fizzle out over next couple months and you guys will disappear.

May I ask who is holding the funds? I guess the goal is to raise more money then is being given away, which is quite a lot for a new service.

Using a multisig wallet with an escrow that needs to sign off would give a lot more trust I guess.

Guess that really is the intention. OP did mention the raffle will be held after all tickets are sold. Provided they do pay up when they've collected it all, I don't see a problem.

The site is not even working here, so no one will be to send any btc to this suspicious project. Maybe the owner realized that his effort is useless so he decided to shut the site down. Of course we should he careful as he may come back with a new site as well as with new account. Always double check if there is something suspicious.

With the numerous suspicion this thread is already creating it's little left to wonder that this might not be a legit deal.
Although I would still check the site to see for my self

I don't believe that there is a site that start an event called jackpot that has a prize of $1M that the participants can win without having to register. I do believe that there is an event like this with the same name of the event/contest which is the same as jackpot but the highest reward is $30000 in all instead of having $1M as the reward for the winner.

How possible for the website to be scam? I guess it's very likely. Why? simple, they don't provide enough info about who they are, not a registered company, and most importantly if you visit their FAQ

But the website has been offline for a while now and the domain is up for sale. It was obviously scam which didn't work out for the asshole behind the site.
