Just tell me, what is your purpose? If you need fiat for living, then exchange altcoins for dollars, but if you want to save funds in crypto, then try to convert your alts in BTC. It is less volatile and won't die.
Holding 50% of funds in BTC is a good idea anyway.

It is better to keep part of the portfolio in stable coins or fiat money, in assets that are not subject to market influence. Otherwise, you risk a lot, because the market can fall so low that it will take a very long time to rise.

Personally, I think it is better to exchange for BTC. If you take yesterday's example, BTC has grown by 15% again, which means if you transferred your altcoins to BTC. Now you have already earned 15%. I think all the same BTC is the best choice.

Many altcoins give more than 15% per day. Bitcoin is a more stable coin, which is invested without much risk, but the profit is not big. only in the long run.

Pesonally when I sell a token I exchange it for Ethereum or Bitcoin and then I hold BTC or ETH. The amount of money I invested in crypto must stay in crypto for at least 3-4 years as I planned a long term investment.

Honestly, when the market was performing very well I became very comfortable with cryptocurrency but because of this huge crash  I will change easily and change my alts to Btc or  fiat . It does not cross my mind yet.

If you have got many altcoins then it would be better to exchange some of them (Keeping a few well-established altcoins in hand) to bitcoin, as it is the main crypto, so holding it much more safer.
The idea as a whole is very correct, but it must be done in the case when there is such a need and when there are conditions for it, today this possibility is not possible because the prices are very low.

I think there is enough reason for you to change your crypto to fiat because you will need cash for your daily needs and it is not every outlet that accepts btc. The only reason I change my altcoins to btc is if I want to buy other altcoins.

It seems to me that investment capital needs to be stored in dollars at the moment. This is much safer than storing capital in crypto.

I prefer to to keep or exchange on BTC because we know that BTC is the top in the crypto currency and it has higher price than dollar. However, investing in BTC is becoming scary because the volatile of the price. Therefore, we should keep watching the market movement to avoid lose.

When the market is bearish like this, I would prefer to exchange 80% of existing crypto assets into fiat. Because so far is the safest way to avoid market volatility, and use 20% the remaining to play short-trade. But if the bears market continue for a very long time, I will temporarily divert existing funds to invest in other commodities such as mutual funds or stock exchanges.

if you want to immediately cash it out, I suggest you better exchange it for dollars, but if you don't want to withdraw it, then I would recommend Bitcoin, because if the Bitcoin price increases then you will definitely get a profit and the money you have will definitely increase, compared to if you exchange it with dollars, but the risk is also big because the possibility of Bitcoin prices can go down too, so in my opinion if you do not want to withdraw it and dare to take risks so I suggest exchange it for Bitcoin, but if you want to withdraw it immediately or don't dare to take risks then I suggest you to exchange it for dollars.

Correct but for now, it might be better to exchange it into dollars, because if you switch to bitcoin it could make the value decrease due on the market scene are getting worse. After all, if the last goal is to convert it to the fiat, it doesn't have to be bitcoin first.

I believe that those of us involved in the field of cryptocurrencies should feel compelled to act in accordance with our ideals and therefore, we should prioritize the accumulation of bitcoins before the accumulation of dollars.

We must always keep in mind that one of the reasons that led to the emergence of cryptocurrencies is the search for alternatives to fiat money, therefore there would be no reason for us to exchange our valuable cryptos for centralized money.

Well it actually depends on the situation. First of all, if you are in dire need to fiat currency, then convert it into dollars. Or else, never convert it to fiat currency. Even if you see the price dropping, keep holding instead of selling it since you will make things more worse by selling. Just keep holding it and the price will eventually rise. And if you still need to convert your altcoin, then just exchange it for bitcoin rather than fiat.
