We expect to have GXG V.1.2.4 released and available in the next 24 hours. This release has a Hard fork on block 581,860 which will be mined sometime near the 29th January 2019. This is updated code to solve issues seen with Cryptopia and bring it current with Bitcoin Core 0.16.3. Again, this will be a hard fork and represent a first step in getting the coin moving again before it transitions to bigger and better things as we have discussed before. Watch https://github.com/GroinGuy/GroinCoin-GXG/releases for its availability. It will be available to Cryptopia and we hope to be trading there again very soon once they are updated. |

We are pleased to announce the release of GXG V1.2.4. There is a hard fork coming up very soon and Cryptopia has offered to let us continue trading there and we are very happy for that. Additionally, note we are actively looking at other exchanges and once we hit the fork and the blockchain is stable and we are trading GXG again, we will get started on our next upgrade that will include Masternodes for GXG!
GXG V1.2.4 has now been out for over a week and is running very well. The hard fork will occur in a few days. So it is important that everyone upgrade to this new version. Additionally, we a very aware of the situation at Cryptopia. We also have confidence, they will be back up soon and we will be out of maintenance mode when that happens. We are also looking into other exchanges as a backup and a a way of providing other options in the future for GXG. |

Just to give all the community a general update on the status of GXG.
1) We still have no word back from Cryptopia - investigation is due to be complete in a day or two - unknown what happens then. They have our new code and we have the ability to pay them back - so we hope once they come up so will GXG.
2) We are actively pursuing listing on other exchanges. They all cost money and all take time.
3) Our new code release and every should be running V1.2.5 now, if not - please do ASAP. Once we are listed and trading on one or more exchanges, we will start the next phase of our coin upgrades to bring Masternodes to GXG. For the time being, we will stay as PoW, but our programmer assures us that GXG (PoW) can run masternodes with no issue and is the process of doing this for another coin. We have not worked out the MN details yet, but we are always open to constructive input from the growing GXG Community.

Please keep in mind as we wait for Cryptopia and pursue other exchange options, our blockchain is still moving very well with the new code and the GroinPool.com is still making regular payouts. I doubt they will ever reopen. But here is to hoping I think they will as they hold a lot of people's coins and the police there would not let them simply shut down and pocket the coins. Even if they re-open just to let them let people get their coins out, they will re-open. That being said, the issue that closed them down had nothing to do with recent hacks, but with an internal theft of ETH. Time will tell, but regardless, we are actively looking for other options.....Most cost money, but we are still looking.... |
