The Pacquiao Vs Mayweather rematch is not an April fools joke because the news has been circulating even before April 1. Even Floyd Mayweather hinted the possible rematch when the two boxing icons met in Tokyo Japan. It's only Floyd Mayweather decision if the fight will proceed or not since Manny is so eager for a rematch while Mayweather is enjoying accepting exhibition matches from unknown fighters for a fee.

Looks like Floyd is enjoying the Philippines, probably had talks with Manny for a eventual super fight again, but everything is still up in the air. But it's good to hear him visiting out of the best tourist vacation spot in the world, Boracay. So let's see, looks like they are really slowly building up some hype, (chance encounter in a NBA game then in the Spence fight).

IIRC, this is the 2nd time Floyd visited the Philippines right? Those encounters that they have met in some NBA games are possible hint for all the boxing fans out there to start creating hype while everyone speculates.

These encounters can be coincidence or they really are into something like discussion on how would be the share of revenue, PPV, ads and other stuffs that they have to negotiate. This gives me hope that Pacman vs. Money 2 is possible.

Thanks for the link, so he is having a endorsement deal, another easy money for him. I remember Erik Morales also travel to the Philippines then and have a endorsement/commercial together with Manny Pacquiao when they are rivals back then. So that is good news for everyone to hear boxers getting along together off the ring.

I think the same, with the first fight they were not going to face more, particularly I think that that fight left me a bad taste, I saw a Pacquiao looking for the fight and chasing a boxer who only bet the fight very technical looking for points , which is valid, but people expected much more! I hope they can fix another fight where they really do the show as it is and can have a rematch.

Actually they have met already mate,and even that the meeting seems to be close door,but i am pretty sure that this is a part of the media exposure to get more sympathy at the same time positive advertisement for the coming Rematch,remember that the see each others twice in US before Manny’s fight recently?so this meeting is just a follow up to that story and i am pretty sure that the long wait is over and the finalization will happen after the Philippines election

If i heard the report right, Pacman is narrowing his choice to Thurman and Danny Garcia for his next fight. With this development we have to wait for another year for this rematch to realize. So we can conclude that Floyd's visit to the Philippines is only for his skin fixed  .

Update: Mayweather has no intention to talk about the fight as far as his latest interview is concern here in PH. He is not interested in going back to ring. He is in PH for business matters and not just because of vacation.

Again like I mentioned here before, the Manny vs Money 1 takes around 5 years in the making given that they are both in peak during that time so it's obvious that
we can see lower chances now for the rematch bout to happen if it will takes more years in the making. They are both 40+. But still not closing a door.

Looks like Keith Thurman have more chances to be pick by Pacquiao this summer.

Both are young in the prime of their career, champion themselves so it will be very exciting to see them face Manny. Can Manny deal with those fighters at their peak of their career? We need to find it out.

Age 41 and 43 isnt really that old IMHO.Did Manny tell out that he do plans to have his last 2-3 fights before retiring? I didnt able to read such thing about this news
about proclaiming his retirement.
As long theres no sufficient or big money involved between the fight then we wont really see any announcement regarding on the arrangement of such bout thats why

Money absolutely will be the biggest factor to bring these two fighters into the square ring. For Manny Pacquiao, it is very obvious that he remain active in this career because he need the fame and money to sustain his political career. For Floyd Mayweather, he need that money to sustain his lavish lifestyle in the US.

But isn’t it a disgrace to a Boxer whoe claimed to be the best in the world when there is a match he denied?And not just a simple match because the opponent is other boxer that has a title almost similar to him?for me its a total cowardly (its my personal opinion and please those Floyd fans don’t get anger lol)

Well I just wanted to include Spence in the discussion because during Spence's last fight, Pacquiao went inside the ring, acknowledge the champ but he started to talk trash but saying that he will give Pacquiao his last pay-check, or something to that effect. So I wanted to see how he will deal with Manny's speed and experience and teach him a lesson or two.  . Thurman is also calling Manny way back then, he doesn't look impressive at his last win, so most likely Manny will have a chance defeating those two fighters, imho.
