Adding to his comments earlier in the day Mayweather Sr also told TMZ Sports: “I'm pretty sure that they're gonna fight.
“If Pacquiao say he wanna fight, I'm pretty sure they're gonna fight again.
"My son will kick his ass the second, third, fourth, fifth time.”

I hope this will happen again, the fight is starting boil up, especially after the win of Manny Pacquiao to Keith Thurman.

I don't know about that. Mayweather already faced Manny Pacquiao and at that time he's younger than he is now so I don't think he is afraid of his punches but afraid of what Manny can do to him right now. Manny's performance is so great despite his age that he even beat One time Thurman.

I am not sure why this thread is so active even now. As far as I know, Floyd Mayweather is not interested and he is not obliged to fight any of his opponents for a second time. In addition to that, he retired from boxing after defeating everyone who had challenged him. He had defeated Pacquiao once and therefore there is no obligation from his side to give Manny another chance.

And let's not forget the fact why everyone wants to fight against Floyd so badly. No one can generate the sort of revenues that Floyd can accumulate during his fights. The total revenue for the Manny vs Thurman fight was around $50 million. Now compare that to around $1 billion, that was generated from the Floyd vs Conor McGregor fight.

Same thoughts, Floyd should really has to retire and never comeback. Having that record was the only thing that keeps him somehow happy and is taking pride out of it even if he does not get the respect in most of the boxing fans because of how controversial most of his big fights. I don't think that would again happen, unless the promoters sees this rematch a better one that could attract more crowd, but then again, the risk is on the promoter, and that's a big money to risk knowing the first fight wasn't an explosive fight.

I think that's the only way to lure Floyd Mayweather out of retirement and fight again. There is no way that he will fight with the same amount of money as the first fight. Manny Pacquiao had done his share of the promotion by winning against Thurman. So the ball is really on Floyd side right now.

Let's be realistic now, Canelo would completely stomp Mayweather now. He's already on track to equalling Floyd's record, and has almost as many title defenses against similarly high calibre opponents.

At just 29 years old, Canelo has already fought Golovkin twice, basically retired Amir Khan, KO'd Liam Smith and Rocky Felding.

He'll probably smash Demetrius Andrade in 2020 too, becoming unified undisputed champion.

I guess that is the reason he's doing it, the money. Manny after the fight with one time Thurman helped a lot of people, again when he came back to the Philippines and even made a great speech and proving despite not having a degree, he really wants to help his countrymen. They have been seen together with some events so those probably were hidden negotiations for the said fight. But let's just be neutral and accept that this fight is 50-50 to move on.

Not worth betting IMO, IIRC, the last time, odds for Mayweather to win was just 1.30, that's only 30% of your bet if you put your money on Mayweather.
Though Mayweather is not as active as Pacman in boxing, but I think he will still come up as the favorites in this rematch.

That's not possible, Mayweather is smart, so he knows if he goes blow by blow against Pacquiao, he is giving Pacquiao an advantage in the fight.
He doesn't need respect anyway, if he wants to, he would have change his fighting style a long time ago, the fact that fans are still watching their fight, that  means they accepted what mayweather have already showed to them, him getting out of his comfort zone is just a bonus to the fans, especially if he can hit Manny and knock him down.
