Here is an update on the ArtByte SegWit deployment

ArtByte testnet SegWit/CSV is now locked in, we've finished the activation period.
Now we are in the "grace period" (just like the two week period that Bitcoin is entering today). This period allows users to upgrade their software to support the new style of transactions. On the testnet this period will finish in 310 blocks.


Detailed discussion
On the ArtByte testnet the SegWit and CSV soft forks have been activated using BIP9, this allows us to make soft fork changes using version bits which allows miners to signal that they are ready to accept new rules by setting bits in the block header, this is technically a MASF (Miner Activated Soft Fork). Over 2,016 blocks the required 75%  of blocks were mined with version bits for both soft forks. Now that we have successfully been through the activation period we are now locked in and await SegWit and CSV to be enforced in 310 blocks time. Once activated final tests will be performed and then mainnet roll out scheduled.

Once this final test period completes, the mainnet roll out is scheduled.

Is this coin dead? Slowly becoming a coin of the past. I used to have millions of this coin but progress is so slow and almost no interest is shown from crypto community. Ann is just few pages, even in the artbyte forum people join only to get the bonus. Devs, you are all kind of lazy and stagnate the development, Segwit will bring nothing to this coin. Its not bitcoin. Hope to see some good progress someday.

I dont see this coin active. Its in the same poor state as before. Nothing new and no interesting done over the years. This is as old as doge but look at where doge is. Marketcapwise this coin is dead. Yes its still active by having not dead blockchain. Poorly managed and no true goal from the developers.
